The design of this beautiful ballpoint pen comes from the Lotus Sutra
, an epic tale hailing from Japan's Kamakura period. The story details the mercy and compassion of bodhisattva Kannon, the most beloved bodhisattva in all of East Asia. Traditional Japanese yamato-e
style adorns the handscroll of the original text, as well as this pen.
A twist mechanism is used to extend and retract the pen, which contains black ink. The pen accepts standard ballpoint refills such as the Schmidt P900 or Parker Golden Touch.
