The design of this beautiful ballpoint pen is based on skillfully detailed Chinese embroidery work. Created in China around 1830, this lovely pattern was embroidered onto a rich crimson silk coverlet. Many different colors of silk were used to bring vibrant color and a sense of movement to the butterflies, which are now fluttering gracefully on this pen as well.
A twist mechanism is used to extend and retract the pen, which contains black ink. The pen accepts standard ballpoint refills such as the Schmidt P900 or Parker Golden Touch.
