I ordered one of these pencil cases a bit over two months ago, and I am absolutely delighted with it. I get so many compliments on the style and it's a lovely semi-soft fabric that's just really nice to the touch.
I've used it every day for the past several months, carted it back and forth to school in multiple bags, and have so far noticed absolutely no quality defects. However, I haven't tried washing it since I love it so much that I'm super super careful not to spill anything on it.
Right now, I have around 7 or 8 pens in here, including a couple of Hi-Tec Cs, a Pilot Petit1 fountain pen, a highlighter, a Zebra Color Flight, and some other fun writing utensils. They fit very well, and there's a bit of a space for a small eraser lying sideways if you wish to fill it that way. I'm pretty sure an unsharpened wooden pencil would fit in here, but I haven't tried it.
