This little contraption...,
March 19, 2011
This little contraption is quite convenient. As always, I expected this to be a
little bigger than what it really is. When it said that it fits a small
pocketbook, they really meant SMALL. You can just fit an adult asian man's hand
in its large pockets. It's not bad though, I'm fitting it with I intended it to
fit anyway: my major art pens and pencils (plus extra!). :)
Now, first off the list: the color is more khaki than beige, I would say. So it
goes amazingly with green cargo pants, jeans or even black/khaki/formal slacks
(cheesey though :P) so no worries with matching it with clothes.
Second, the belt it comes with is rather short. At least for how I 'intended' it
to look like. It fits right on but I wanted it to sort of hang down a little
instead of be up on my waist so I will end up using one of my own simple belts
to pull it off.
Compartments are very useful, like the chapstick/lip balm area and the numerous
pockets, but ultimately, it doesn't fit more than essentials.
**Do NOT read on if you do not intend to read with an open mind**
Lastly, to all the guys out there who are afraid of wearing one due to
"discrimination" (refer to reviews on other colors), don't sweat it. Wear it
with pride. Make a statement. Most people who give you negative comments is due
to their want to look cool or stand out too so they resort to retorts instead.
:P Trust me, I've been thru it before. Now many people respect me with what I
like to wear as odd as it may be. :) And of course, you've got your friend to
back you up.

Nomadic AP-03 Moving Option Waist Bag - Black
This is the dorkiest thing I've ever owned, and this is coming from someone who
regularly spends embarrassing amount of money at jetpens - multiple times a
year. It's super convenient, especially if your job is something that requires
you to carry around all sorts of tools, writing implements, notebooks, etc. I
have only worn 1 pouch at a time, and I've fit 3 tools, 5+ pens, wallet,
mini-notebook, tissues, and candy into it, with room to spare! It is
ridiculously dorky-looking, but that's a cost-benefit analysis for you to do on
your own.

This is an awesome product if you are someone who needs to be able to carry a
multitude of items while keeping your hands free to do tasks. I am a nurse and
use this to carry the many small items (pens, note pads, paper clips, pill
envelopes, med cups, hand wipes, etc.) that I need while working.
I also have a dog rescue and need to carry a variety of items to reward,
medicate, and clean up after the little ones here.
I bought three of these bags and am very pleased with how my tasks are now
easier to carry out.
I LOVE these and would recommend them.
It doesn't matter to me that fanny packs aren't "IN" anymore. This is really an
organizer, and so superior to the old fashioned fanny packs.

I agree that fanny packs are less than chic here. We actually bought this to put
two water bottles into. That type of specialized fanny pack is expensive so we
decided to get this one and sometimes we use it for bottles or when we are
hiking and need to bring a monocular, camera, etc and want to keep our hands
free. Since you can space the pouches in different ways it really can adapt to
your needs on a particular trip. As with all of these bags, it is well made and
just great to use.

I love this thing! I\'ve been trying not to carry a purse since I\'ve had a
shoulder injury, so I\'m just working on my posture at the moment, and the extra
weight of a shoulder bag is too much.
I have been using mostly just one pouch at a time, but the two together isn\'t
all that much different.
I like the convenience of a belly bag, but the fact that it looks like a fancy
utility belt is SO much better. I think it\'s cute.
The pockets really are useful and well planned.
I got the grey, since I thought it looked nicest, but I\'ve already managed to
get it a little dirty (I think from my seat belt).
I\'m a girl, but my brother is interested in one, and I think his bad @$$ self
could totally rock the black version.
This is well made, feels nice, looks nice, and is totally worth the $.

This bag is slender and not as conspicuous as one wd expect, especially for me
as a woman. You can also modify by using your own belt or half the bag instead
of both sections. Good for hiking. Also good for storage when not in use. I like
it.

Handy little beast, I'm using it while I work at the hospital. I can clip this
on a fill it with thing that won't fit in my coat pocket. I don't lose my chap
stick in my coat pockets any more!

Would it be possible to get the daybag version of this instead? I've seen them
before on japanese sites and they look amazing, would love one.

OK. I WOULD be all over this if I was living in asia, or moving there, or even
europe.. HOWEVER there is a UNFOUNDED discriminism against all fanny-pack esque
acessories, and I'm sad to say, I am not good looking enough to pull it off..
haha
I wore fanny-packs in all other countries, and grew up with them, then North
America happens..
I ONLY WISH I COULD BUY THIS AND WEAR IT.
