I bought this in green. I must say- I still cannot believe how much it holds- A TON! I thought I needed a larger pen case to cram all of my pens, pencils, lead holders, erasers and such throughout the day. I was wrong. This almost holds too much to stuff into my work bag. I did not try putting pencils in the bag as I did not want to mark the fabric and/or my other writing instruments. I do like this bag for an all purpose stuff everything in it now and sort it out later bag.... I am just too overwhelmed by all it carries and have trouble remembering all that I have in it. (That's probably just me)

The color is wonderfully bright and the material is sturdy. The zippers are smooth and of good construction. The only thing I could say negative is if you fill it chock full pens could fall out the left side. There's an inch long opening that's not exactly convenient, but not enough to lose a star for. Good buy!

I like this pen case, but it is too bit to carry everywhere. First, in the pouch with all of the little elastic compartments, the velcro is WAYYY too loud. Second, when you put 20-30 writing things in here, it falls over....this bugs me a lot. If you can get past these two things, this is a must have pencil case.

This is an awesome pencil box! First off, i really like the bright red color. But more importantly, it holds tons of pencils and the velcro eraser pouch is really nice. The zippers all work well, and its just a very sturdy product. I would definitely recommend this to people who have a lot of things to carry in it.

This pencil case is first class. I currently have probably 10-15 pens/pencils/highlighters and there's definitely room for more. I have also a post-its, paper clips, erasers, and a mini stapler. The bag is nicely made, sturdy and the red is a nice vibrant (but not neon) color-- well worth the $16 for something that will last many years.

Top notch item! Hats off to this particular creation!

I'm a student who has to carry around a bunch of items and just like anyone else, consolidation is key.

Well I wanted to see how this pencil case would stand up to the challenge and what kind of items I could stuff in it.

The zipper pocket could fit an iphone or ipod easily and have a little roof left over for small headphones.

The flap pocket underneath was able to hold my garmin nuvi GPS (I don't like leaving this in the car, heat kills the battery) and I was able to hold the cords in my main pocket.

The main pocket was able to hold 15-20 pens with pencils, erasers, and extra lead combined with a notepad and even my dice bag (a bag of dice I use for games.) I was able to stuff my wallet in there as well. Oh and I can stuff my keys in easily.

So instead of having to carry 4-5 individual items (GPS, Wallet, iphone, note, pencils, etc) I can stuff them all into this and carry it safely without fear of it dropping out.

Definitely useful! You'll get your money's worth!

Since I work in 3d art as well as in 2D art, I'm always looking for pouches that will help contain my supplies. I use this particular pouch for storing beads, findings, ribbons & trimmings when I am crafting on the go. There are useful compartments-- I especially like the mesh net pouch inside the main compartment; it is perfect for me to separate the selected (metal) charms from the crystal & ceramic beads.

Overall, I love Nomadic's bags; they are excellent necessities for artists who work in a variety of fields & media.

Now, if only Nomadic would come out with bags with funky & fun designs-- this would be ideal as I prefer designs over solid colors.

Absolute most amazing pencil case ever. Long lasting, sturdy, holds TONS of stuff, there are a whole bunch of compartments for EVERYTHING, so it's super easy to organize if you have a bunch of different things. love it love it love it, couldn't live without it.

THE BEST PENCIL CASE IN THE WORLD!!!

OK, lemme start it off, the Nomadic PE-09 Flap Type Pencil Case - Navy is the best pencil case in the world (I mean it!). It is a very sturdy pencil case and it's quality is 5 stars. I recommend this pencil case to anyone, especially JetPens lovers of all ages! The main pocket (with the eraser pocket) can hold up to 35 pens, pencils, etc... and it comes with a built in eraser pocket fitting any small size eraser. The second pocket right under the logo sign can be perfect for fitting pencil crayons or other stationary . Next, the pocket that flaps can hold led refills, sticky notes, mini notepads, and many more! In total it should fit up to 70 stationary items (which is excellent). You can't live without this A-M-A-Z-I-N-G pencil case!!! By the way this is the perfect back to school item and it's a great value. Please restock for other buyers.

This pencil bag is amazing! I have in it 10 pencils in the large pocket and it probably still has room for 25 more! the small mesh pocket is great for a packet of lead ofr a pencil sharpener, but it fits PERFECTLY a scotch tape dispenser (those little ones)! I have 6 highliters in the flap pocket along with some lead and erasers. In the outer pocket I have five pens! If you need room for a lot of pencils, this bag is perfect! The color is very nice, more lime green than the picture shows. its in between lime and light green.

It is insane how much stuff you can fit in this thing. It's super sturdy and almost impossible to damage, plus it's got great little pockets for random things. I like to use the little mesh thing on the inside for refill-erasers. It's easy to use and easy to organize the way you like it. I'll never switch pencil bags again!

I just got mine, and it's absolutely an incredible case! I didn't believe the comments about all the other Nomadic pencil cases that supposedly fit so many pencils and pens, but this really exceeds all expectations. The nylon-like material on the inside and outside makes me feel like it won't get beat up too easy :) Which I'm happy about, I've had pencil cases I've used until they just fall apart.

I like the fact that all possible space is used. I'm not quite sure what I'll do with the flap pocket yet, but probably lead or something small I don't use a lot. The orange lining helps you see all your pens and pencils really well. I'm not sure why the zipper has the button on the side and the option to unbutton it, maybe it's style. It does look nice. I like that the mesh pockets on the front side under the flap are tight. It'll be nice that whatever I put in there doesn't slide around or anything like that...

The little mesh hanging pocket inside the main pocket is great! I think I'll use it for an eraser.

I love all the thought put into this. Absolutely a great pencil case.

Much nice green than the photos suggest (though the photos are excellent). The green is nice and saturated, sort of fresh and leafy looking. I ordered it in the hopes that it would expand enough to fit my Nook Simple Touch, and the fit is perfect. As a bonus, the lining and outside pockets act as padding. I'm sure you can find a million uses for this product. There are many organizational options. I'm really happy with it.

LOVE THIS CASE SOOOOOO!!!!! much it is so fantastic. has a bunch of secret compartments and everything i want can fit in here. I have a mini stapler & hole puncher in their with a note pad and pens.

This little guy is perfect for the (female) drawer who thinks all their pencils are useful. xD It reminds me of a carrying bag stuffed with a lot of nice/useful things.
the description is right - the pouch swallows nearly everything you give it. Haven't really found a Negative yeat and I use it for a half a year already.

Best pencil case ever! I just got this one, along with other pens and pencils, and I was able to fit all of them along with the other pens/pencils I had in my old pencil case, no problem! It's very organized, with lots of little pockets to hold erasers and things. I have more than 40 pens and pencils in mine, three lead cases, and three block erasers! Affordable price, too.

Btw, the green is much brighter than in the picture. Very cool.

I just received this lovely pencil case in the mail today! (: Originally, I wanted to get this same pencil case, but in navy blue, but it was just taking forever to restock, so I figured, I need a pencil pouch now anyway, so why not try the khaki green? But this pencil case is just so nice, if the navy blue ever does come back in stock, I wouldn't mind purchasing a second one as well!

The case itself looks a lot bigger to me than what the photos advertise. It's about the size of a small clutch, and it fits into your hand pretty well. The cloth is very sturdy; I suppose it's going to take a lot to tear or damage it. The main compartment is where I keep the majority of my pens, and it is very large. I have maybe a large handful placed into it and it hasn't reached the top yet! All-in-all, a really nice pencil case. (:

This pencil case provided a lot of space for my stationary. I was really surprised that there was enough room to put the case of my reading glasses, as well as my scientific calculator, and a few other stuff. There were lots of compartments to organize stationary in, and I find that very helpful.The fabric and stitching seems very durable. Although, the color of the product is slightly darker than the one in the picture.

Great case~ Comfortably holds 40 (about two large handfulls) variously-sized pens in the inner pocket. Outer pocket holds 4 Lamy Safaris just as comfortably. The inner mesh "pocket" doesnt get much use, but the under-the-flap mesh sectionals are great for pencil lead, eraser refills, ink carts, etc. Lovely!

I have been in search for the perfect pencil case for my daughter who attends a trilingual immersion school. Due to her need to write her assignments in multiple colors based on the language subject matter, she needs a pencil case that will hold a 6-in ruler, a small protractor, a small square, a bottle of white out, a large eraser, a small eraser, red/green/black/blue/purple pens, a highlighter, two mechanical pencils, and a box of 0.7 mm lead. The case needs to be able to sit open on her desk with easy access to all her supplies. I bought this case because the dimensions were good, long enough and wide enough. I liked the outside compartment and she loves lime green. When I received the case, I really loved the way it looked and felt. The zipper worked very well and all the other details pictured on the website were exactly as noted. However, I discovered to my dismay a design flaw. When I put 2 pens and some of the new Tombow erasers I had just purchased, one of the pens slid out from the top of the case with the zipper closed. Upon closer inspection, I saw that with the zipper closed and snapped down, there is a large enough gap at the opposite end of the zipper that if the case is tilted vertically, most pens but the fattest ones, like a highlighter, could potentially fall out. That is an unacceptable flaw. I buy her expensive pens and pencils and I would hate for her to lose them in this fashion.
