As an art student I always end up carrying an excess of pens/pencils etc. This
pouch is great for protecting more delicate drafting pens and fountain pens, the
zippered sections are a nice addition for storying lose items. (lead, eraser
etc.) No noise while opening/closing pencil case during class. The only Con is
that the storage for the pens are a pouch, so if your pen does not have a clip
they can slip out. My solution was to store those in the zippered section, a
mild inconvenience for a nice little pouch.

I enjoy this case because it is so compact and light weight. I carry 4 pens,
pencils, and highlighters on inside. The side
pockets hold additional markers, erasers, zip drives, etc. I thought I had
ordered the tri-fold case, but when this one arrived i liked the design
especially the snap closures. Great buy, you won't be disappointed.

My briefcase has a false "belt" strap and no pen pockets; however this case's
snap design allows the whole thing to clip around the side strap *perfectly*.
The zippers can be a bit slippery to fumble with when you don't have both hands
free, but this is a fantastically useful case nonetheless.

I bought one of these for the colored pencils I use in Biology classes. It's
simplicity and versatility has made it a constant companion. It's easy to unload
and load with the stuff I need for different activities like hiking, vacations,
and school. I shouldn't be such a cheapskate and just get a bunch of them.
