The officegeek blog has criticisms of this lead holder, but I wholeheartedly disagree. This is an absolutely incredible design in all respects. No, the clip is not made too tight as officegeek claims(I'm actually a big fan of officegeek on most reviews).

I work in a mud, rain, grime, and cement environment and this pencil never fails. The sharpener on the head is simply fantastic and eliminates my having to pack a lead sharpener around with me. A truly well designed lead holder! I use this now in the office too, and feel its the best lead holder available.

Pretty good value for its price point. Nice to have all 4 colors to keep different graphite grades separate without having to switch leads. It comes with an unmarked 3.5" lead that I find rather coarse, so I would recommend discarding it and replacing it with a smoother drawing lead. Its diameter is too wide to be used in a typical rotary tub lead pointer, so getting a reliable lead pointer would be advisable. Its built-in pointer in the push button tends to be out of alignment and yields an uneven point, so I would only used it in a pinch. While it makes a nice addition to a leadholder collection, I prefer the sturdier construction and precision grip of the metal clutch of the Mitsubishi Uni leadholder or the Staedtler 925-25-20.

I ordered this pencil on a whim and I haven't regretted it once. Its lightweight body was a surprise but perfect since I worry about hand fatigue over time. So far so good.

Super Pencil..light weight. The clip is strong springy steel. Smooth comfortable soft touch grip. Colorful. This is an awesome pencil, at a very good price. I loaded mine with Uni 2mm in softer lead grades for drawing and sketching. Do you want a lighter weight 2mm pencil...Get the set...you wont be sorry. :O)

Very please with this purchase. Another reviewer commented on how they think the lead is coarse but I find it to be very comfortable and easy to draw/write with. The sharpener in the cap is a huge plus and works reasonably well. I really like the rubber coating. I only wish that somehow an eraser could have been put on top of the sharpener somehow. JUST BUT IT ALREADY!

Not bad - has a lightweight body with a comfortable rubber coating. The clip is very stiff, so be careful if clipping this to an art project or other important paper as it may leave a dent. The lead sharpener on the top is handy, but must be used over a garbage can or it will make a good deal of dust. Overall a very good value if you're just looking to try a lead holder.

For the price, it's amazingly comfortable, useful, and it was a great introduction to using 2mm leads. I love the built-in sharpener, and happily have a different color holder for each different type of lead I now use.

Oh, I never that there was a sharpener in the top cap! I always thought that was for keeping the lead in... And so I was wrong. I really enjoy using this because of the gel-like feel on it makes it so smooth, and it doesn't feel...'greasy' like other gel-grip pens. Very comfortable to use! The design is very cute, feels professional in your hands! And so affordable! I use this for drawing, and it doesn't need to be sharpened often. This is smooth, but it has a very firm grip. I bought one for my friend, and one for me. We both loved it!

If you love 2mm leads like I do, but always found it inconvenient to carry a lead sharpener around, these pencils are a perfect solution! I've found them to operate smoothly and the sharpener works great.
