I've had this Ohto 2...
I've had this Ohto 2 days, and am disappointed. It is very scratchy, skipping sometimes so I have to re-write words. I had a Pilot Hi-Tec cavalier with the silver trim and 0.3mm black refill, then I lost it. It is not made anymore, so I tried the Ohto. I just ordered the gold accent Cavalier, more expensive than the old silver, but now the 0.3 mm black refill is not available for the Cavalier. I ordered the 0.4 and 0.38mm black refills. I prefer the 0.3mm, just the right flow and fineness.

This isn't a bad pen,...
This isn't a bad pen, but there are some good points mentioned previously. I write very small and very slowly, so I need a very fine point. This has an excellent fine point with not too much drag or scratchiness. I don't find the slimness of the body problematic, but I don't hold the pen conventionally and am generally not picky as long as there are not sharp edges (a la Zebra sometimes). The only drawbacks I have are that the tip does, as mentioned, very frequently become unscrewed, which leaves me frequently pulling all the separated parts of the pen from my pocket right when I need to jot something down. Nonetheless, when it is assembled, it's a great pen. I prefer the Uni Jetstream 0.38, but this is a great backup and excellent for sliding into notebooks.

I'm not happy with this...
I'm not happy with this pen at all. I knew it would be very small body, and it's comfortable to write with when I use a pencil grip on it. I don't know why other reviewers say it's not scratchy. I bought two, and both are exceedingly scratchy to write with and the ink is not nearly as smooth as I'd like it to be. I highly prefer the Uni-ball Signo 0.38 to the way this writes. I like a smaller pen, but the scratchiness of the writing is a major turn-off.

I always use Uni Lakubo...
I always use Uni Lakubo 0.5 as my all time favorite pen, but
this is so much better!
The writing quality of this pen is extraordinary
far better than Uni. No scratchy at all,
extremely smoothly considering that has a 0.3 point.
So far I tested it on a A4 inkjet plain paper and
you don't need to push hard on to the paper to write, even
with very little effort words are readable.
The ink is very bright, I could say it almost shines!...
Also has a very high quality metal barrel
with outstanding finish, considerating the low price,
and the retractable mechanism is the best I used,
far better than Parker pens.
In a few words, this is a perfect pen!
I must find a blue refill.

I love this pen, I use...
I love this pen, I use it all the time for mathematics since you get a very crisp clear fine line. Only problem is that the cap keeps unscrewing, but this is a small issue.
