DescriptionSpecificationsQuestions & Answers
Ohto's Pen-style Ceramic Cutter is a tiny cutting blade that is designed to have the appearance, portability, and convenience of a pen. When capped, it looks exactly like a generic pen— even when uncapped, it is nearly impossible to see the sharp edge because the blade is housed in a plastic nib for stability during use. The ceramic blade is more durable and wear-resistant than a typical metal blade, lasting up to five times longer. The blade does not rust even if it gets wet, and the body is antibacterial and anti-static. There are many uses for such a tiny cutter: you can use it to cut out interesting newspaper and magazine articles, clip coupons, cut open difficult plastic bags, or trim small details in your paper crafts.

Wow. This ceramic cutter is incredible. It's super sharp and can do tight turns and corners which I love. Beside the way it functions, I also love the design, it's subtle and sharp.

Easy to use, but I'm not sure how to replace the blade if it ever gets dull?

Cuts paper pretty well. Good conversation starter. I would give it a 5 if I had more use for it. Might be really handy for anybody that does scrapbooking or any kind of crafts like that.

I was excited about this product, but it doesn't function particularly well.

Safety: Nearly hidden ceramic blade - you'd have to try incredible hard to cut yourself making it far safer than a traditional exacto. Plus, the pen cap is secure, so it likely won't accidentally open in your bag.
Convenience: This is easy to keep on your person, in a pocket, in a school bag, etc.
Direction change: With an exacto, it can be difficult to quickly change the angle or direction of your cut. That's not a problem with this blade.

Pressure: You have to push very hard to get the blade to cut. It nearly always doesn't cut through on the first pass.
Tiny blade, but wide blade holder: The plastic housing for the ceramic blade makes it very difficult to anticipate where you will actually be cutting, so it's tricky for precise cuts.
Plastic dents: I have to push so hard to get a get that the plastic housing ends up denting the paper while I'm trying to cut with it.

Overall, I would NOT purchase this product again despite having high hopes for it.
