Wow. This ceramic cutter is incredible. It's super sharp and can do tight turns and corners which I love. Beside the way it functions, I also love the design, it's subtle and sharp.

Easy to use, but I'm not sure how to replace the blade if it ever gets dull?

Cuts paper pretty well. Good conversation starter. I would give it a 5 if I had more use for it. Might be really handy for anybody that does scrapbooking or any kind of crafts like that.

I was excited about this...

I was excited about this product, but it doesn't function particularly well.

Safety: Nearly hidden ceramic blade - you'd have to try incredible hard to cut yourself making it far safer than a traditional exacto. Plus, the pen cap is secure, so it likely won't accidentally open in your bag.
Convenience: This is easy to keep on your person, in a pocket, in a school bag, etc.
Direction change: With an exacto, it can be difficult to quickly change the angle or direction of your cut. That's not a problem with this blade.

Pressure: You have to push very hard to get the blade to cut. It nearly always doesn't cut through on the first pass.
Tiny blade, but wide blade holder: The plastic housing for the ceramic blade makes it very difficult to anticipate where you will actually be cutting, so it's tricky for precise cuts.
Plastic dents: I have to push so hard to get a get that the plastic housing ends up denting the paper while I'm trying to cut with it.

Overall, I would NOT purchase this product again despite having high hopes for it.

This is quite more difficult...

This is quite more difficult to use than I had hoped. It does NOT produce a smooth cut. I have to go over and perfect the cut with my scissors. Perhaps it is not meant to make longer cuts? I am using it to cut out my envelope templates.
I have tried to use this several times and it has disappointed me each time. Perhaps I need more practice with it; I doubt it will meet ever my expectations.
Also, I have to press quite hard to get the pen to cut along the line; it is a lot more effort than using scissors.
One star because it is cute and a good idea in theory, but the execution did not "make the cut."

This cuts really well but it's hard to see where you are cutting. I suppose if I took time to get used to it it would be wonderful because it is easier to cut with than my exacto knife I just don't know where to cut...

As a guy, I feel like this item isn't entirely marketed towards me but I purchased it as a small utility knife and I'm quite pleased with it. I use it to open envelopes, to trim shipping labels, and other misc office tasks where fishing for scissors or a box cutter would simply be overkill. Also very useful for cutting pages out of spiral notebooks without perforations. The blade is best suited for cutting through 1-2 layers of standard writing/printer paper; in other words the blade is even tinier than the product photos would lead on, not a bad thing though.
