I was looking for a fine point ballpoint pen..not gel ink and this pen looked like it would fit the bill. When I first received it, I fell in love with it...the way it writes, its weight and slimness. However, after less than 2 weeks of use, the retractor broke. I was able to fix it then but a week later it stopped working again. Now I have to bang the pen point on a table to get the point to retract and I haven't been able to fix it. So I won't be ordering another one which is a shame because the pen itself met all my qualifications for exactly what I wanted.

Oh shoot, can JetPens edit my review to not say "thin and tiny" because I was going to review a different needle point pen that IS thin and tiny, but this one is almost a regular sized grip. The rest of the review is accurate.

Never write things on the internet before coffee kicks in I guess!

I ventured out into needle point pens and I have to say they are fun! Boy, can you write tiny with this. The pen is really thin and tiny but so are my hands, so I am able to write with it without too much discomfort. The other review mentions the rattling this pen makes while writing, and so I'm going to admit something strange: I've always liked pens that make this rattle. I know, this is a little peculiar, but it's true. Almost makes me feel like the pen is interactive somehow. The rattle comes from the top clicker when in the in position. It's a little "buzz" sound that somehow hits the spot with me. Again, weird, I know.

I bought this pen because I enjoy using Ohto's other needle pens. While it writes exactly the same as the other pens, I had to subtract two stars because the plunger on the end is loose when the pen tip is out and makes a really, really irritating rattling noise when you write. I'm no pen connoisseur but this alone is enough to make me not want to use the pen on a regular basis. Such a shame, because it is an attractive pen that feels good in the hand.
