I love this pen. It's nice to carry around an it's very attractive. A few problems I had, though, is that the wood is very soft--the clip tears right into it. Apart from that, if you get ink on the barrel, it just won't come off. My pen looks like it's taken a severe beating, but overall, it's still good quality for a ballpoint.

These pens are super. For those who have complained about a rattly plunger - just give the plunger a few turns and the rattle goes away. Jeez folks, use a little common sense.

I bought this pen because I enjoy using Ohto's other needle pens. While it writes exactly the same as the other pens, I had to subtract two stars because the plunger on the end is loose when the pen tip is out and makes a really, really irritating rattling noise when you write. I'm no pen connoisseur but this alone is enough to make me not want to use the pen on a regular basis. Such a shame, because it is an attractive pen that feels good in the hand.

This review is from Ohto Pieni Wooden Body Mini Needle-Point Ballpoint Pen - 0.5 mm - Gray Body
This pen is truly a disappointment. First, the construction is flimsy--the inner ink chamber rattles against the wooden pen body. Secondly, I was using this pen yesterday and suddenly felt stickiness on my fingers. I thought it was the ink dripping, but I discovered it was the paint of the pen itself!! I have never had paint drip off my pen body before. I couldn't believe that Ohto would put out such a low quality ballpoint pen and charge so much for it! I am totally disappointed at this product.

This review is from Ohto Pieni Border Needle-Point Ballpoint Pen - 0.3 mm - Black Body
Cute pen. Love the design. Kind of on the more expensive side in terms of what you receive. Would get a 3/5 if it weren't so nice looking!

I got the 0.3mm pen with a 0.5mm refill. Now, at first I thought both performed rather below average but I got them to work well with changing just 2 things. 1 - write with light pressure. As with many pens below 0.4 mm, it helps with scratchiness when you ease up on the pressure. 2 - use smooth paper. I first used a generic notebook and the pen was skipping and acting horribly. On smoother paper it wrote sooo much better.

Warning: Both size tips had ink globbing issues and smeared easily because of this.
Warning 2: This is a wooden body pen and will damage easily. Odd, I know, but adds to the overall quirkiness of it (if you like that).

Even with all that, I still think it's a fun, good-looking pen that I'm happy to have in my collection.
