I bought this pencil...

I bought this pencil because I enjoy fine writing utensils, needed a pencil for homework and read the above review. The pencils craftsmanship is top notch, however the design is epicly flawed. The barrel the lead advances through is entirely too long and facilitates breaking the lead which then immediatly falls out. On that note, any time the lead is too short it falls out making the last third of any lead unusable. I go through lead extremely quickly with this pencil, either because it breaks and the breakage falls out, or both the breakage falls out and the remainder is too short and falls out as well. I do not reccomend this pencil unless you simply wish to look at it, as it's functionality is non existant.

Very poor performance, impossible to use because the leads jam and will not feed

I really liked the fact that the pencil has a cap and the looks and weight of the pencil are great. however, I had a hard time getting the lead to advance correctly and when I added a lead, a small piece fell out of the pen and I cannot tell from where. If not for this problem, I would keep it because I really like it, but I am sending it back. It is a good looking pencil.

Love everything about this pencil (and the matching pen) but they both come undone in my purse ALL THE TIME! I hate going to look for my Tasche pencil and finding it in 3 pieces! Tasche means purse in German and this one does NOT like purse pockets! But it looks nice, it writes well, the weight is great with or without the lid and the materials used are high quality SO! It will remain at home on the desk shiny and lovely!

Like other consumers, I bought this pencil (and its pen counterpart) for its looks. When I received the pencil, I was amazed at its looks and craftsmanship. The thing I really like about this pencil is the fact that it is very compact. The compactness of this pencil allows it to be put into any pocket without being too noticeable. Even though it is small when the cap is closed, it becomes much longer when you take the cap off and put it on the back. The cool thing about doing this is that the rubber O-ring on the back prevents the cap from moving. My only complaint about the pencil is the feeling I get when I "click" the pencil. In addition, I think this pencil is suitable only for short notes and letters. I don't think I could use it to write an essay or do calculus homework. Probably best suited for businessmen.
