Okay, I very rarely write..., September 22, 2008
Okay, I very rarely write reviews, but this pen prompted me to dust off the
creative writing intuition. Also, let's say I am a pen aficionado. I own Mont
Blanc, Cartier, Caran d'Ache, Pelikan, Underwood, Dunhill, Lamy, Cross, and an
assortment of other pens and pencils. The Ohto Tasche Needle Point Ballpoint pen
and the corresponding pencil are absolutely 100% phenomenal. I can't stand it
when a pen is too thick, has that annoying nib that sits right in the middle of
your index finger, isn't balanced, is too brittle or doesn't have quality
appointments, and the refills are horrible . . . just to name a few pet peeves.
I received this pen this afternoon, and it is quite frankly, OUTSTANDING (yes,
I'm Shouting!). It will take Parker Gel Refills, Itoya Needle Point Gel Refills,
and even Schmidt Capless rollerball refills. There are very few pens that can
boast this feature. Also, when you port the cap, the rubber O-Ring accepts it
and holds it in place nicely. The finish is excellent and the screw threads
remind me of precision machinery. Ohto thought the Tasche line through and
through.
Bravo Ohto. . .and Thank You Jet Pens for carrying this line. I'm sold.

This pen's a keeper...., August 23, 2012
This pen's a keeper. It writes very smoothly. It's small when capped, but
full-sized when the cap is mounted for writing. It is perfect for a carry pen
and travel pen. Even though it's small when capped, it is still "masculine"
enough to be used by a man and it looks elegant. It has a great feel and
perfect heft for a pocket pen. For the price, you won't be disappointed.

My purchase of a Zebra..., June 13, 2012
My purchase of a Zebra F-301 Compact while in S.Korea prompted me to look for
another "fancier" compact pen to use at work. My Zebra had been my favorite pen
until I got my Ohto Tasche. Kudos to the reviewer who mentioned other compatible
ink refills. I did not like the stock ink the pen comes with. I am currently
using the parker gel ink refill the other reviewer here mentioned. If anyone
knows of other refills that are compatible with this pen please post, as I would
like to try some other inks out :-)

It writes wonderfully...., June 21, 2010
It writes wonderfully. I truly loved this pen and its sleek modern look. The
only problem I had was the comfort on the grip (because there is none).

I’m also a pen..., December 7, 2008
I’m also a pen aficionado.
I recently received my Ohto Tasche ballpoint and have been writing with it a
bit.
One of the first things I noticed was that the one I received had a crooked
clip, a major pen pet peeve of mine. The other Ohto pen I bought had the same
flaw so it may well be typical of Ohto pens. Not good.
However, I still recommend this pen highly. The design is clever and unique. The
cap posts very well and should stay on no matter how long you write. It is
well-balanced and quite comfortable with a diameter that should please all but
those who require a very thick grip.
The material and appointments are nothing special but adequate. As the other
reviewer pointed out, the Tasche will take a variety of refills. Though I
don’t think it is quite as unique in that regard as perhaps he did.
The $20 price is quite reasonable and I’d be hard pressed to think of too
many (if any) better pens at that price point.
Again, highly recommended.
