The German designed Pelikan Future fountain pen is definitely trend-setting. The classy body has a soft grip to give a comfortable hold of the pen. The plastic varies in toughness, becoming sensibly softer at the cap and clip locations.

The product line comes in striking blue and red bodies. Stainless steel nib is available in fine, medium and broad. Conveniently refills with international short fountain pen ink cartridges, as well as both short and long Pelikan ink cartridges. One refill cartridge included, Pelikan converter available separately.

This is my first broad nib pen and I have to say it is broader than I expected.
It sure lays down a lot of ink! My main complaint is that when using the converter,
part of the silver on the converter can be seen in the little side windows.
Overall it looks pretty cheap, but then it was. Seems it might be nice in
signing Christmas cards, but for me little else.
