I got this pen specifically because it looked cheap, if I'm going to have a pen "walk away" I'd rather it be a cheap one. It writes fine, the line does not blot with mine. The nib needed no tweeking. The cap seats just fineOver the past year or so at work I have gone through at least two cases of those disposal fountain pens available through Office Depot, I expect that this one will at least last that long and perform better than those pens do. If you're expecting Souveran quality for thirty bucks then you're delusional, if you're looking for a servicable pen that you won't lose sleep over because it "walked" then this is the pen for you.

Eh, this pen writes...and it's not scratchy. But those are the only good things about it in my opinion. I bought it over a year ago and used it just a couple of times before I put it in my box of pens that I'm likely not going to use again but which are too cheap to sell. The pen takes a Pelikan converter, but it's not secure. Also, the nib needed serious tweaking before it started flowing the way I liked it (but that's a minor issue as the pen would still conform to your writing preference the longer you use it). But what bothered me the most was that the cap didn't post correctly. It was always lose. The body felt and looked a bit cheap too. I wouldn't make a serious recommendation for this pen. Maybe for a kid who is learning how to write with a fountain pen, but other than that, I'd recommend other pens at this price or cheaper.

I thought with the price difference, this pen would be aluminum. Its not, just metallic colored plastic. It does look nice, and it writes very similarly to my Lamy Safari, perhaps less scratchy, but that could be because it is new and the Lamy is not. The width and quality of the line from this and the safari are very similar. A little lighter then my safari. Knock off one star because I would have bought the P55 instead, had I known this is not in fact a metal pen body. Oh well, I am still happy with it.
