I really wanted to like..., September 11, 2011
I really wanted to like this cute thing more. It's clunky and chunky -- and if
that's your thing (and for some people, it is), this is made just for you. I
need a slimmer profile and LIGHTER pen -- this pen weighs nearly three times
what a Pilot 78G does! Insane. And it ultimately makes it harder to write for
a long period of time. 23 grams can make all the difference. Who knew?
I'll stick this in my purse to have a pen when I'm out, but it won't be in my
regular rotation. And if someone sees me use it and loves it... it's theirs.

I got these for my young children who wanted my pens! The whole family now has
one, and while I don't love the look as much as my nicer looking pens, this one
writes so smoothly, I can't resist using it. The A nib is similar to a medium
nib I use, and while I preferred fine point pens, I find that I've begun to
prefer medium nibbed fountain pens for the smoothness and beauty of the ink and
writing. These are really good for children who are able to write. The price
can't be beat for an easy writing, sturdy fountain pen for a child, and yet the
pen writes nice enough that we adults can use them happily too.

I bought this pen to..., October 23, 2010
I bought this pen to try out the flexible nib, to see if it would partially
replicate a dip pen art nib. It really doesn't add much to the performance
unless you push very hard: doing this regularly, I would worry about it staying
bent, based on one review of this same pen in blue. I find the "A" nib to be
extremely wide, though I prefer Japanese sizing to German. I think that there
are better super-budget-priced fountain pens available: the Pilot Penmanship is
one I prefer that also has a three-sided handpiece. Also, I don't find that the
left-hand / right-hand distinction has much effect.
