This pen is a dream to..., January 26, 2013
This pen is a dream to write with. It is quite sturdy, not to mention quite
pretty looking. The only drawback is that every once in a while the pen may take
a second to start flowing ink. To avoid this problem, you can just hold the pen
to the paper for a moment before writing the word. Other than that, there are no
issues.
I use this pen with a converter, even though I use pelikan ink. The converter
works very well with this pen, and there are also many compatible ink
types/cartridges you can use (it takes universal standard cartridges).
Overall, this pen is a great addition to my pencil case. The 1.5 mm nib is
amazing for writing varied size letters. The cap clicks on to the pen quite
nicely, and if by chance the converter or cartridge pops out, it will not leak
everywhere due to the screw on body.

This is my everyday pen,..., February 18, 2011
This review is from Pelikan Script Italic Calligraphy Pen - 1.0 mm Nib Width - Green Cap
This is my everyday pen, so much so that I wore the nib down now that it has a
blunt side and a sharp side (after a year and a half of 4-5 pages of writing). I
think I need a new one and will buy another one. I am using the converter and
primarily using noodler's permanent and it does not bleed through other pages
even with the fact that it is a calligraphy pen. There is some bleed through
with the noodler's eel ink though it is a bit more viscous.
Its built strong and has not cracked or shattered with repeated use and sticking
with heavy books in my messenger bag. Hell even the pelikan logo has not wore
down that bad.

Got this in my last order,..., May 26, 2009
This review is from Pelikan Script Italic Calligraphy Pen - 1.0 mm Nib Width - Green Cap
Got this in my last order, and I absolutely love it. It's still the ink
cartridge that was sent with it, and it doesn't come with a shmancy ink
converter or nib cleaner or anything, but it does work beautifully and has a
very nice feel to it.
I'm slowly but surely choosing pelikan as my favorite fountain pen company to
buy from.
The ink in the included cartridge is a blue-black, and I like using it for
everyday writing, because the tip is small enough to not lay down too much ink
that it bleeds through paper, but still a nice calligraphy nib for
letter-writing and the like.
Heartily recommended to anyone who's making the transition from a regular
fountain pen to a calligraphy pen. or starting out in calligraphy.

Nice pen. Not sure why..., December 17, 2010
This review is from Pelikan Script Italic Calligraphy Pen - 1.0 mm Nib Width - Green Cap
Nice pen. Not sure why other reviewer was having ink flow problems. Writes very
smoothly and ink flows well. Only problem I have with this pen is that 1.0mm nib
writes Broader than the Lamy 1.1mm. If you want tighter pen strokes get the Lamy
1.1mm Joy fountain pen instead of this one.

Excellent calligraphy..., August 26, 2010
This review is from Pelikan Script Italic Calligraphy Pen - 2.0 mm Nib Width - Red Cap
Excellent calligraphy pen. Nib lays down crisp sharp letters. Ink flow is
perfect. Executes Carolingian very well and Uncial to an acceptable degree.
