I am pretty happy with it. I used the Retro 51 Tornado Vintage Metalsmith
Roller Ball Pen, it is soaks up the ink, but doesn't bleed through to the other
side. My descendants will surely be able to read my journal if my mundane life
details are of any interest. Although, lately it has been a soap opera with
lots of drama with my wife and 2 nearly grown daughters.

I was a bit disappointed by this paper.
It won't work well with fountain pens because of the feathering, and will eat up
your micron-like fine tipped pens because of the texture of the paper.
It has virtually no bleed though however, and pens like the Hi-Tec C really
shine. Even with water based brush pens- it's very difficult to get bleed
through. I just wish the fountain pen ink was a bit more compatible.

DO NOT BUY IF YOU USE FOUNTAIN PENS. This paper feathers and bleeds through with
Sailor, Diamine, Noodler's--except black--Pilot, and Platinum inks. It's great
for pencil, ballpoint, and gel/rollerball pens. It will bleed through on bold
gel pens, such as a 1.0mm tip.

This review is from Pelle Linen Paper Notebook Insert - Large (4.3" X 8.3") - Drawing - 64 Pages
I ordered the Drawing insert to see if I liked it, and test it with light
watercolor. I won't reorder it again after this one is used up, but it's really
not bad paper - it's just not what I need for my style of art.
This is very heavy, very stiff paper. But it is (understandably) not for wet
media - I have tried a couple of watercolor sketches, and you can't push the
paint around at all, it buckles (which I don't mind) and it pills (which I *do*
mind). If you were to just do a quick, small wash of color for a visual pop in a
sketch, it's ok, though not ideal.
For drawing, I'm not fond of the texture with pencil. I like the plain unlined
insert better for pencil sketching.
With an Pentel Pocket Brush Pen, it's actually pretty good, though the ink shows
(*not* bleeds, just shows) through a little more than I would like.
Collage seems like it would work well - the paper stands up to glue well, and
the piece I glued on doesn't show any signs of peeling off.
Once I use up the unlined insert that came with the Pelle journal, I will use
this up by journaling in it, and then just make my own sketch or watercolor
This paper is a total...

This review is from Pelle Linen Paper Notebook Insert - Medium (4.3" X 6.8") - Plain - 64 Pages
This paper is a total treat to write on. I use fountain pens and I have not
experienced any bleedthrough or feathering and I'm using both sides of the
paper. The size of this book is about as close to perfect as you can get. Fits
in my purse so I can carry it wherever I go for quick notes and journaling but
big enough that it doesn't feel cramped when writing in it.
