Very nice. It's pretty strong so it works for me. But when it comes down to it...i prefer this over the pentel ain hi-polymer led.

Super cool. If you think that the hi-polymer led dispenser is cool....this is just awesome! It's sleek and you just turn the top cap to the side to slide the led out. It fits much better in a pencil case than the ain does b/c there's no finger thing sticking out of it.

Also, the viewing window is orange tinted which is pretty cool. sorta makes the leads look orange-ish...^^

Love this lead. I tend to not use pencils because they don't write dark enough. This is very dark with not a lot of pressure needed, not easily broken, and not likely to smudge like it says (and this is coming from a BAD lefty writer)

Easy to grab 1 or 2 leads
Doesn't make a chisel end as fast as other leads
!!confirmed!! It doesn't leave smudges at all when writing or erasing

Scratchy when writing
Still break way too much like any of the cheap leads do
Dispensing mechanism does loud clicks, no idea why they designed it like this

The test:
Wrote a total of 9 pages using a Platinum Zero Shin (MZ-500A) 0.5mm pencil and 12 pages with Pentel Ain Stein. On each page I made a mark each time lead broke and which lead brand I was using. In 9 pages the NanoDia did NOT break. In 12 pages the Pentel Ain Stein broke 9 times. Clearly killing both Platinum's claim of its double-chuck mechanism reducing lead breakage and Pentel Ain Stein's claim to be their strongest and least prone to breakage lead. With 0 breaks and smooth writing the NanoDia take their place as my favorite lead replacing the Staedtler Mars Micro Carbon I used to enjoy.

I use this lead for note taking in my Pentel Smash. Stronger than expected, doesn't crumble and creates a nice dark line.

Writes darker then I'm used to; having only used the average lead. Writes much more smoother to. I'm glad I order two of these packs.

I really like this lead. It holds up well, gives a nice dark line, and works well for note taking.

I use this to darken areas of my sketches. It doesn't smudge easily and it's smooth to draw with.

I wanted something softer than HB but not so soft as to be a smudgy quick-use mess, so I upped a bit to 2B.. I know the grades are different between companies but i found this to be harder than the HB and left more of an indent on the paper when erased. I do think the line is a little darker, so it's not a total loss, just wish it was a little softer. I love the little box, too but wish it had the single-lead dispenser feature of others.
