Finally a brush that is water proof and grey ink color. It is not one of those regular Pentel brushes that is not waterproof but I took a risk and I'm glad I did.

This brush is hard to find on Jetpens site as it is located under watercolors. I think it should be separate or together with Pentel Pocket brush which is also waterproof.

So now we have a grey waterproof color brush that can compliment the Pocket Pentel brush (or other waterproof brush).

I use this constantly with the standard Pentel brush pen. The tip has held up beautifully through heavy use, and can be used for fine details as well as large washes. When shading large spaces, it can start to look a little rough and patchy even when you work fast, but that's a minor issue. It can run VERY wet if you give the body a good squeeze, to the point where I can use it for splatter if I want to. A plus for my uses, but be cautious of it! I recommend using it on smooth paper for a clean line, as it tends to skip on textured paper. It WILL bleed through most stuff! Use it judiciously or on heavier, watercolour-grade paper.

This pen works great!

The bristles are very flexible and allow for a massive range of line thicknesses. The ink flow is smooth and slow. The only things I could complain about were the fact that the brush does need reshaping rather frequently, as the overall shape of the brush becomes a bit deformed after several strokes.

I did have to look up instructions on how to use it, because on the packaging they are in Japanese, but it was simple enough to figure out.

Remove the red collar to allow the ink to flow into the brush, then screw the brush back on all the way down. Then carefully squeeze the barrel to get the ink flowing (don't squeeze too hard and don't leave the brush half of the pen loose, otherwise the ink will drop out).
That's pretty much all you have to do.
You do not need to rinse out the bristles.

Overall, this was a great purchase! I'm very happy with the brush. It's great for making dramatic, dynamic lines.

Love love LOVE this brush pen. The ink is a little too dark for my liking but it lightens up a bit. The lighter of the two ink washes in this photo was made by this pen: http://instagram.com/p/wU9KWuHYpm/?modal=true

I mean, this pen is just great. I use it all of the time. Makes an excellent companion to other waterproof black brush pens. I also greatly prefer using this pen's diluted black ink as opposed to the regular gray-pigmented ink that you typically find in "gray" brush pens. Refills are a huge added bonus. If you're on the fence about getting this pen versus another gray brush pen, BUY THIS ONE!

still getting used to it but I'm REALLY enjoying the time I've had practicing with it!!! the only thing I've had a minor problem with is sometimes the ink will escape the cap so keep it somewhere it can't get squished haha

This is a great little brush pen. The brush quality is much higher than the brush tip on the Pentel Pocket brush pen (not at all impressed with that one). The bristles are nice and densely packed, and the squeeze bottle end helps is keep up with fast lines. The ink is extremely waterproof. It does not budge. Period. I was actually hoping to be able to blend it a little with a water brush, but it is nice to have a line that won't move.
