This pen, as cheap and simple as it is, beats out dozens of other pens that are
up to 3 times as expensive. I'm serious. This pen has a functional grip that,
while not squisy, is comfortable and non-slip. the clip works well for shirt
pockets, etc. I like the feel of the clicking mechanism. Finally, to the
writing. This pen is the smoothest pen out of all the liquid and gel pens I
have, and this pen writes the darkest and most crisp. I love the writing
quality. It puts my G2s and miffy and signos and vision elites all to shame.
The Energel X is smooth, has never skipped on me, always creates a nice vivid
black line from first touch, and creates sharp lines.
There is only one downfall, and even that is circumstantial. I have heard that
this pen does not have waterproof ink, which means that if you are doing labs in
a science course, the ink may smudge and ruin a page of your lab notebook, in
the case that water or some other liquid spills.
Overall, considering price and writing quality, this is a great deal, and you
should NOT hesitate to add both this and the blue version to your cart.

A wonderfully cheap and basic pen.
These things are my it pen. Bold dark lines, nice grip, stands out on notes and
post its. Feels good and writes good. Got one here to try it out and loved it.
Bought a 5 pack at a store around here on the cheap as well. Because of the
price, and because I don't have to order online if I need more, I carry these
around daily. I like them enough to use, but they are replaceable enough to
actually let someone else borrow it. Really nice pens that I won't lose sleep

The Pentel gel ink has a soft spot in my heart because it was the first gel ink
I tried, and since then I have always like the color and deepness of the black
gel ink in the paper. This isn't among the most sought after pens, but it should
be. Give it a try.

I ordered this but it is not in my purchase history for some reason. Let me
see... the color is a beautiful sky blue that I have not seen before. Writes
very well and writes smooth, however the front area where the pen tip is is a
bit stubby. It does not extend far enough from the pen grip so I have to hold it
a little weird when I write. I don't know, maybe my fingers or just to small or
something. Overall great pen!

This is the smo-o-o-o-o-othest writing pen ever. A pleasure to hold, for long
writing sessions and for arthritic and shake-y (due to minor stroke) hands. I
actually use it for drawing (Zentangles) and it is wonderful.
I just would like the colors - violet, orange, green etc to come in the "0.5"
Please hear my plea Pentel and JetPens, thank you.
