DescriptionSpecificationsQuestions & Answers
The Pentel Graph 1000 Limited Edition Mechanical Pencil for Drafting, with its colored body and updated modern look, had an overwhelmingly positive response that caused the pencil to be quickly sold out all over the world. Perhaps due to this, Pentel has chosen to introduce a permanent Graph 600 line that is dubbed the “mechanical pencil for creators”. It combines the professional qualities that have helped Pentel sell over 10 million units of the Pentel Graph line with beautiful new colors and a modern look. It is a tool created to be suitable for designers.

Pencil features:

* A stable, low center of gravity for a balanced feel.

* Cleanly designed tip for visibility as you draw.

* Ribbed grip to prevent slippage.

* 4 mm sleeve.

I absolutely LOVE the way that it feels and writes, but I've noticed that with both of my 0.3 graph 600 pencils, the lead will sometimes not extend when the end is pushed down. I've tried various things to fix this, but I can't seem to find a definite way to cure this problem. While this is a big problem, every time it has happened, I have been able to, at some point, fix them, so I still give this 4 stars.

(is anyone knows how to fix this, please let me know, thanks)

This pencil looks and feels more impressive in person! It looks fantastic in white. The degree indicator stops at B and doesn't go up to 2B which may disappoint a fan of soft leads, but Pentel has managed to make a plastic knock button feel solid which is very impressive. The clip loosens with heavy use like the ones on several of the graph gear 500s I've had in the past, but with normal use you needn't worry much about loosing it and having your pencil roll away. It will roll away without it's clip because the hexagonal body is a thinner diameter than that of the grip.

It has a metal mechanism and very durable brass clutch. It even has a metal lead reservoir, which is most likely why each click has a precise mechanical feel. It has a muffled sounding click so it's a great pencil to have during a test. The clutch is a ways away from the point so it doesn't conserve leads as well as some other pencils. This might be the root of one other users problems.
