Pentel Graphgear 1000 Drafting Pencil - 0.9 mm

Among my favorites. Solid mechanical feel, nicely weighted, very comfortable grip for all day sketching. Retracting mechanism is a nice feature that will hopefully pass the test of time. I've been sketching with this beauty for about a year now. I dropped it once onto a marble floor (fortunately the point was retracted). It survived with nary scratch- well worth the money- highly recommended

I bought the pens versions also. The grip has a very interesting feel to it, I like the metal grooves but it also has some pads on it which I like also.

This mechanical pencil line exudes quality and precision. It is a work of art...the "Porsche Design" or "Mercedes" of drafting tools. Love the heavy duty feel of the locking clasp mechanism which extends and retracts the lead point. Feels like a German product -- heavy and a bit over-engineered -- built to last! A mechanical jewel which is a delight to admire and hold.
