wow! I really like this..., May 8, 2008
wow! I really like this one alot, and it doesn't seem to "go bad" easily. It's also very light, and has a good grip. It's very nice for people who write alot, although a .4 lead pencil will give you thinner lines...
My hunt for a replacement..., March 24, 2013
My hunt for a replacement to the Pentel P205 led me to the Pentel Graphlet. I purchased one, and received the package super-quick, typical Jetpens!
The Graphletis a very good pencil for its intended purpose: drafting. However, for writing the grip is far too slippery. If Pentel had put a proper knurling on this pencil (like they did on the Graphgear 500) it would have been the best pencil for the price on Jetpens. Alas, they did not.

Pros:
-Very precise feel
-Solid lead "clicks"
-strong plastic body (same as the less expensive Graphgear 500)
-Eraser cap stays in place
-Clip is removable (I always take the clips off)
-The view of the lead is okay, but not amazing. I find that the chrome section will sometimes reflect light and cause annoying "dancing" of lit around the paper

Cons:
-Grip is ineffective

I would not recommend this pencil, however the Pentel Graphgear 500 is less expensive and a more impressive pencil.

this is a really nice pencils, well balances and constructed. the mental grip is smooth and long enough to support several grip positions. it feels solid without any notice of loose or poorly fitted parts moving around as you write or draw. lightweight with a clean simple finish makes this one of my favorite pencils.
Good affordable sketching..., November 29, 2007
Good affordable sketching tool. Its 4 mm sleeve effectively protects color pencil leads preventing breakage. As I grew frustrated with all the wasted color lead when using a Sakura Sumo Grip, it dawned on me to try my drafting mechanical pencils. I found that the Graphlet and Graphgear 1000 were the better choices when using brittle color leads.

This review is from Pentel Graphlet Drafting Pencil - 0.4 mm
I bought this because I was obsessed with 0.4mm pencils and had to try every one I could get my hands on. The problem I have with this nicely built pencil is that I just can't write with it without my grip slipping down toward the tip. Just doesn't work for me.

Light, simple, balanced, solid and somehow the grip is in just the right spot.
Great pencil for the price.

This review is from Pentel Graphlet Drafting Pencil - 0.3 mm
I have reevaluated this pencil and find th is I hold it a little lower down on the grip so that my fingers grasp the knurling and not just the lined upper portion of the grip then I can hold onto the pencil better and control it better. However it is a bit on the skinny side for me so my rating has not changed. But still, for those who have skinnier fingers than I do may well find this pencil a five star winner.

This review is from Pentel Graphlet Drafting Pencil - 0.3 mm
This is a light, slim pencil. Construction is very good and the quality is high. The only thing I don't like about this pencil and why it did not get a five star rating from me is it's hard to hold. The chromed knurled lead indicating sleeve at the end of the pencil is lightly knurled, to lightly to afford a good grip. The chrome is very slick as well because it's highly polished. Because of these two factors I find it hard to write with because I am holding it to tightly. This makes my hand tired after a short while. The version without the chrome sleeve should be easier to hold and write with.
