I have finally found .5 lead that doesn't break with the slightest pressure. I like the finer lead but have found it nearly impossible to use due to breakage. I am not a heavy writer and therefore I always found it irritating that my leads would break so easily. Once my leads arrived from Jetpens, I immediately loaded them into my Lamy Spirit and put the pressure on and was pleased that I literally had to make a conscious effort to break them. Good product, my recommendation to the heavy handers and the not so heavy handers.
