Not bad at all.

In my experience, ballpoint pens (true ballpoints, not hybrids of one kind or another) with unusual or non-standard ink colors tend not to write as well as your basic blacks, blues, reds and even greens. There have been some exceptions to this (Schneider makes a great brown bp refill, for example) but not too many.

So, I didn’t have high expectations for how this pen would write. But I am quite satisfied with it so far. The fine line it produces is as consistent as many a standard black or blue ballpoint I’ve used. And the light blue shade is an attractive one, if perhaps a tad too feminine for my tastes.

Someone in another review called the RSVP line ugly. I’m not sure why. It is basically just a nondescript clear plastic tube but it has its nice little touches, too. The lettering on the barrel is nifty and does bring to mind the invitation the RSVP name suggests. The little ball at the top of the cap to let you know the ink color is another nice detail.

The RSVP strikes me as quite adequate in the writing comfort department. It isn’t “ergonomic” but just a stick with a rubberized grip. Good enough.
