The Slicci is a beautiful new line of gel pens from Pentel. Created to compete against Pilot's popular Hi-Tec-C line, the Slicci pen features comparable widths (.25mm, .3mm, .4mm) and colors. However, the tip is much more sturdy than the Hi-Tec-C's point, thus resisting breakage or damage. Try a Slicci today!

I just received a black and a blue 0.25mm slicci pens. They write more smoothly than the Pilot Hi-Tec-C 0.25mm pens and they are far sexier looking ^_^ Another review noted that the HiTecC seemed to draw a thinner line. I found this to be true. I would guess the Slicci line is about 0.015 broader. But compared to the UniBall Signo DX 0.28mm, the Slicci definitely draws a thinner line. If you want the thinnest line possible, buy the UniBall Signo bit 0.18mm. I have used all four products mentioned, and I have enjoyed using all of them. I intend to buy Sliccis in the future...

LOVE these fine points; most all are perfect, finest I have been able to find as yet. Sometimes there's a tiny ink blob .... (one of my ULTIMATE pet peeves) but rare. Only thing that could be better: if it was retractable...... Hate pens with caps when I'm working

I own two normal Sliccis, both in 0.25mm, and a multi pen with 0.4mm refills. The 0.25s write really well for a tip that small. They put down a super fine line, not as fine as the Hi-Tec-C, but still a bit finer than a Uniball Signo in 0.28. I really love fine tips and have been using them for a while, so I am not really bothered by the scratch, but those used a much larger tip size will definitely feel it. This is an awesome pen, and I never leave home without it.

This was a trial to see how small of a tip I would like. The bigger sliccis are awesome, but for my uses, this is a little impractical. I have big hands, so this is overall not good for writing for me
OMG best gel ink pen...

OMG best gel ink pen ever. Since December I've abandoned the exploding-ink Pilot G-2 and purchased several Hi-Tec C, Signo, and Slicci pens in varying tip sizes. The .25 Slicci is my jam. Pretty much floats on the paper, provides unbelievably smooth writing experience. Those who prefer a wider barrel would be happier with a Signo as these are definitely on the narrow side, but I take pages of notes for homework and haven't had a problem with soreness or fatigue that's unique to this pen. I'm on the site right now to buy another Slicci or five, and you should too.
