Great color, not too..., October 22, 2010
By lin...
Great color, not too dark and not too light, the shade of green is slightly darker than what it looks like on the pen itself. Smooth writing without any scratchy marks, will scratch at first from first use but does not do it after the first time. I would definitely buy this again, I really love the green color!
Just received this pen..., June 5, 2012
Just received this pen and while it writes smoothly for ultra fine tip pen, I purchased it to replace the Uni-ball Signo bit 0.28 mm pens that I have grown to love. While the tip appears to write quite nicely, the pen is very thin. I much preferred the thicker body of the Signo Bit and the rubberized insert on the holding surface. Unfortunately, Uniball decided to discontinue the 0.28 mm blue Signo Bit so I need to find a replacement pen. I will use the Slicci until it runs out of ink (not worth returning) but I don't see myself purchasing anymore.

5 stars for color selection,..., March 24, 2012
By mis...
This review is from Pentel Slicci Gel Ink Pen - 0.25 mm - 15 Color Set
5 stars for color selection, smooth skip-free writing, fast drying gel ink.
Take away one star for:
-----Their small size-they seem to be art/craft pens, not for note-taking, as the pen is uncomfortable to hold for long writing sessions.
-----Mislabeled "blue black" as "midnight blue," which is no big deal except I wanted to buy all the colors not inuded in this 15 pack, but ended up with TWO blue black pens. The pen in this 15 pack is labeled blue black on the actual pen. Jetpens also sells that same pen seperately as Midnight Blue, even though the label does say "blue black"...you can see it in the picture on Jetpens for the Midnight Blue pen. There is NO Slicci pen called "Midnight Blue" it is actually blue black. And it's a lovely color! I have two of them but I don't mind!
-----Slicci's 0.25mm is not even close to Hi-Tec-C's 0.25mm. In fact, Slicci's 0.25mm point falls somewhere between Hi-Tec-C's 0.3mm and 0.4mm. Judging by this comparison, I think Slicci's 0.25mm is probably a 0.35mm in reality. But the colors are also more vibrant and more pigmented than Hi-tec-C's ink colors, so maybe that's why it looks like a heavier line.
-----Expensive pens, same price as Hi-Tec-C pens but Sliccis are smaller. Does a smaller pen hold less ink? I don't know, but the logical assumption is probably "yes" because its smaller! And I love Jetpens but Sliccis cost more here than at most other stores....although Jetpens does have 20 different colors of Sliccis available individually AND in 5, 10, or 15 packs, while those other stores only have 10 colors and only in a 10 pack, never sold individually. Jetpens wins that one even though they charge a little more.

And that is why I gave 4 stars. I do recommend these Sliccis pens if you like to write small in many colors of ink...or if you have already collected ALL the Hi-Tec-C colors plus ALL of the Uniball Signo DX 0.28 and 0.38 colors....you might as well get these too, because Slicci's colors are very exciting and different. They will wake up your creative & imaginative abilities.

Oh Slicci. How do I love..., June 1, 2011
This review is from Pentel Slicci Gel Ink Pen - 0.25 mm - Black Ink
Oh Slicci. How do I love thee? Let me count the ways. Or at least write a little review blurb.

Seriously, this is the best pen I've ever written with. I am a pen junkie (like I suspect many of you are). I love my Hi-Tec-Cs, I love my Sakura Microns, I love my Staedtlers...but the .25mm Slicci is a dream come true. Right now I have 8 colors, and I have 10 more on the way. I'm writing this review for the black pen because a) it was the first Slicci I bought and b) I use it most.

Things I love about the .25mm Slicci:

1. Super-fine tip that is also sturdy.
2. Ink flows very well, rarely skips.
3. So many colors!
4. My tiny hands love the thin barrel.
5. Very lightweight; easy to use for extended periods of time
6. With the superfine tip and gel ink, lines drawn/written are VERY precise. I've drawn incredibly intricate things with the Slicci that I never would've been able to with my other pens.
7. All this for only 3 bucks.

In the interest of fairness, I'll say the following:

The purple Slicci disappointed me a little bit. It's a fuchsia-ish shade, and I like rich royal purples. Also, something about purple gel inks, for some reason they never flow quite as well as other colors. Just my bad luck? Maybe. I mean, the purple Slicci is still a wonderful pen, but it could use some tweaking.
Caveat to my number 4 above: Yes, I love the thin barrel, but I recognize that it isn't for everyone. I have an...unconventional...way of holding pens that is most conducive to thin barrels. Those of you who find it too thin, perhaps a rubber grip thingy would help?
Yes, I've had a couple Sliccis (even black ones) die on me. Chances are some of them actually ran out of ink, knowing how much I use them. For the ones that still had ink, if I set it aside for a few days, it'd usually start up again. Some of them might just have had screwy tips. Clearly my few uncooperative pens haven't dampened my love for the Slicci in general!

I realize I've basically written a dissertation here, so I'll sum it up in two words: EXCELLENT PEN. :)

This review is from Pentel Slicci Gel Ink Pen - 0.4 mm - Black Ink
I've got to say, this is a great pen. Consistent, dark lines are really this pen's strong point. The only problem with it is the pen's overall size - it's really small! With a barrel smaller in diameter than that of a AAA battery, and the lack of a rubber grip make this pen hard, and even sometimes difficult to use during long periods of time.

This review is from Pentel Slicci Gel Ink Pen - 0.25 mm - 15 Color Set
These are some great pens, they write/flow very smooth and fine...love the colors!
I Like them just a bit more than the Hi-Tec-C because the ink dosn't skip.
They are a smaller, thinner pen to hold. Bravo! Highly reccommended!

It worked great at first,..., July 14, 2012

This review is from Pentel Slicci Gel Ink Pen - 0.25 mm - Dark Purple Ink
It worked great at first, a nice purple color & smooth writing with no skipping. I bought the 15 color pack plus one of each color not included in the set. Out of all the 0.25mm Sliccis, Dark Purple quickly became my favorite go-to color.
Unfortunately this one pen stopped working a month after I got it, and for no apparent reason! (I didnt drop it or get any liquids on it, etc.) Now it writes like the roller ball is dented or something :( at first it just seemed dried up so I tried the usual tricks of scribbling & gently tapping the pen at an angle to coax the ink towards the writing end... but the problem isn't that the ink won't come out--its something about the rollerball mechanism, it can't pick up or deposit ink on the paper.
I am buying another one now to replace my nonworking Dark Purple...if that one stops working too, you'll see another review (one star!) from me under this one!

This was my go-to pen..., June 22, 2012
This review is from Pentel Slicci Gel Ink Pen - 0.3 mm - Black Ink
This was my go-to pen a month ago, when I got my first order of Japanese pens.

Superb ink flow, with no skipping or blotting. Very smooth writing, but with just the right amount of friction on the nib for great control. If it wasn't for the skinniest-barrel-ever, this pen would be a joy to write with for hours. Instead, using this pen makes my writing look a little sloppy and fatigues my hand too easily.
Also, now that I've tried the Signo DX (0.28 and 0.38), I've noticed some shortcomings. The line the Slicci puts down is the perfect width for me. Seems a lot wider than a Sarasa 0.3. Problem is, the line doesn't seem as sharp as the Signo DX's. I notice consistent imperfections and even (gasp!) slight feathering. It's not glaring, but it's definitely there.
Lastly, the ink level on this guy plunges after every use. Even for a gel-ink, the ink runs out fast.
This is still a good pen. It performs MUCH better than the refills for the multi-pen Slicci (I don't know what's wrong with those). When I get bored with the Signos, I could see myself coming back to try some colors.

Just received this pen..., June 5, 2012
This review is from Pentel Slicci Gel Ink Pen - 0.3 mm - Blue Black Ink
Just received this pen and while it writes very smoothly for ultra fine tip pen, I purchased it to replace the Uni-ball Signo bit 0.28 mm pens that I have grown to love. While the tip appears to write quite nicely (the 0.3 mm writes much better than the 0.25 mm), the pen is very thin. I much preferred the thicker body of the Signo Bit and the rubberized insert on the holding surface. Unfortunately, Uniball decided to discontinue the 0.28 mm blue Signo Bit so I need to find a replacement pen (I tried a black pen just to try the 0.3 mm tip). I will use the Slicci until it runs out of ink (not worth returning) but I don't see myself purchasing anymore.

  Just what I'd expect..., November 18, 2011

This review is from Pentel Slicci Gel Ink Pen - 0.25 mm - Black Ink
Just what I'd expect from a Slicci-Sharp clean lines while delivering a smooth experience for the point size. First couple sentences I wrote with it, I had to do some scribbling, but ever since, it's preformed flawlessly. The skipping is barely noticeable and I'm pretty picky. I have yet to find this crisp sharp line from another pen, and I may never. This puts an end to all of my problems-its pretty much everything I need. The only concern I have is that I've heard these die out. This pen writes so well though that I am going to have to overlook it. The skinny barrel is another thing that people complain about, but after a week of use, it feels normal to me. As far as coming out of a package and having amazing results, this is a five out of five. I would definitely try this out if you like a sharp, clean, and consistent line. This pen is definitely my pen of choice.

Writes great, but a little small and no grip. Even thought .4 is a little too thick for my taste, it's still a great pen for anyone who likes a .4 line. Great pen

This review is from Pentel Slicci Gel Ink Pen - 0.25 mm - 5 Color Set
...bought a set of these--also red, blue and black--about two years ago. Happy to say that couple years later, they still work fantastic, and the ink flow is still as smooth as new. I have the 0.25mm tips, and despite seemingly thin, the tips are actually pretty sturdy (sturdier than the Pilot G-TEC ones, which also happens to be my other favorite). These are some awesome pens for a pen-addict like me ;D

Very nice coral pink. Exact same color as Hi-Tec-C's Camellia pink. Body is thin and a little uncomfortable to write with.

This review is from Pentel Slicci Gel Ink Pen - 0.7 mm - Black Ink
I have just recently started to buy gel pens, and so far this is the only one that I am satisfied with. I found the Pilot G2s too "skippy", and the Hi-Tecs were a bit too fine for me (I prefer 0.7). These are amazingly smooth and the colors are great (if a bit limited). Thanks for stocking this diameter!

SLICCI VS HI TEC C.....HI TEC C WINS!!!
basically the claim to fame of this is that is has a sturdier tip than the hi-tec-cs. I have 2 of these sliccis and 3 hi-tec-cs and I have never had a problem with the tips of any of the HTCs. and, in comparison, the HTCs come with a LOT more ink for the same amount of money. hi-tec-c it is!!

This review is from Pentel Slicci Gel Ink Pen - 0.3 mm - Blue Black Ink
Writes real nice and smooth so far.
I'm a little scared of the thin tip, but it seems sturdy enough that I won't accidentally bend it.

I do kinda wish the pen body was thicker. About as big around as the Zebra Clip-On multi pens. Any pen body hacks are welcome.

This review is from Pentel Slicci Gel Ink Pen - 0.3 mm - Black Ink
This is, by far, my favorite in-class notebook pen.
The tip glides across the paper and makes fine, thin lines (which also highly compliment my tiny writing style).
I literally feel like I'm writing faster than normally when I'm using this pen, and I can say I'm extremely satisfied with this purchase.

Nothing much more to say besides individual remarks:
Grip - Just a basic texture plastic grip, but my fingers don't hurt after a while
Ink - Nice and black
Tip - Incredible

This color is pretty much perfect. It's as professional and versatile as a blue or black pen, but adds a certain level of uniqueness to an already solid pen. Pretty much my "everyday" color for that reason.

This review is from Pentel Slicci Gel Ink Pen - 0.25 mm - Black Ink
Yep, this is my pen of choice. I've been studying japanese lately and needed a pen to write kanji small but discernable- this does the trick. Strong tip, hardly every skips during writing, and the ink is actually black.

Get you a 5mm ruled notebook with graph paper on the left hand sides (for larger kanji memorization and writing practice) and get your study on with this bad boy! The only con is that it is skinny so it will hurt your hard if you grip it too hard. Be delicate, or get a gripslip for it. 5 out of 5!

The color of this pen..., November 1, 2008
This review is from Pentel Slicci Gel Ink Pen - 0.4 mm - Blue Black Ink
The color of this pen is black with a hint of blue, or mid-night blue. Being dark helps out the color consistency of writing strokes, which works for me. Ink quality is very good, and the ink is delivered at a steady rate.

The grip is thin and all plastic. If you want a rubber grip, you can purchase an additional Pentel Hybrid-Technica 0.3mm or 0.8mm non-retractible pen, and switch the pen body.
