The Slicci is a beautiful new line of gel pens from Pentel. Created to compete against Pilot's popular Hi-Tec-C line, the Slicci pen features comparable widths (.25 mm, .3 mm, .4 mm) and colors. However, the tip is much more sturdy than the Hi-Tec-C's point, thus resisting breakage or damage. Try a Slicci today!

It worked great at first,..., July 14, 2012

It worked great at first, a nice purple color & smooth writing with no skipping. I bought the 15 color pack plus one of each color not included in the set. Out of all the 0.25mm Sliccis, Dark Purple quickly became my favorite go-to color.
Unfortunately this one pen stopped working a month after I got it, and for no apparent reason! (I didnt drop it or get any liquids on it, etc.) Now it writes like the roller ball is dented or something :( at first it just seemed dried up so I tried the usual tricks of scribbling & gently tapping the pen at an angle to coax the ink towards the writing end... but the problem isn't that the ink won't come out--its something about the rollerball mechanism, it can't pick up or deposit ink on the paper.
I am buying another one now to replace my nonworking Dark Purple...if that one stops working too, you'll see another review (one star!) from me under this one!

  I love the slicci's but..., April 25, 2008

I love the slicci's but I've never had a Purple one that worked well. I've used, green, black, orange, blue and purple. The purple is the ONLY one that gave me any trouble. They all would skip, it was difficult to write, as if the ball point was pushed in.

If you like a really fine line, try the slicci just maybe not purple.
