Nice color ink, although..., May 31, 2012
Nice color ink, although near-black colors are lost on such fine pens. Maybe a
brighter color is a better choice as it stands well enough on its own with such
a thin line, or of course there's black. This, like all gel pens, requires just
a bit more pressure than a fountain pen addict would like, but it doesn't take
much pressure at all and it tolerates fairly shallow angles. Not smooth, but
definitely no toothier or scratchier than you would expect a 0.25. Boy do I
wish I had discovered this pen back in engineering school! If you are in school
now and write small, this, among a few others, is an absolute MUST HAVE.

This is a neat color. Classy yet spunky at the same time. Too bad I lost mine
:(

Very beautiful dark blue..., March 24, 2012
Very beautiful dark blue almost black-colored ink, professional enough for work
but not a typical boring black pen / blue pen you see everywhere. Good ink flow,
dries almost instantly and no skipping. Small thin plastic pen body is not
comfortable to grip if you're writing for a long time.
Not a deal-breaker but the pen I received is labeled "Blue-Black" not Midnight
Blue. You can see this in the second picture here on Jetpens.
. It is exactly the same as the Blue Black pen included in the 15-pack I
ordered. Same label, same ink color, same pen.
Maybe Pentel changed the name at some point? Anyway, if you want to buy every
color of Slicci pens, just remember that Midnight Blue and Blue Black are the
same pen :) If you order the 10-pack or the 15-pack, it already includes this
pen.

I don't know why people..., February 25, 2011
I don't know why people don't really like the color of this pen, I think it is
great! It's fairly dark even for being labeled "Midnight Blue" and it writes
smoothly for such a thin pen. I'm really happy with my purchase. :]

The "Blue Black" label..., October 31, 2009
The "Blue Black" label is misleading. The pen I received says "Midnight Blue" on
the cap which is a closer description in my opinion since the ink is lighter
than what "Blue Black" (which to me means a really really dark blue that looks
black.)
Here's an a good example I found of what the ink looks like (via Pen Addict):
