  Smoothest blue-black..., September 28, 2010

Smoothest blue-black gel pen on this site that I've tried. Personally, I like the color second-best behind the Uniball Signo series. A little trouble getting started sometimes coming right off of the cap, but great once it gets going. I'm not crazy about the thin, plastic grip either, but this is my go-to Blue-Black gel pen.

These slicci pens are by far my favourite gel ink pen plus this particular colour is great and my preferred default colour when it comes to writing notes, essays etc ! I've bought a whole bunch of these & will be using them for a long time to come :-D

The color of this pen is black with a hint of blue, or mid-night blue. Being dark helps out the color consistency of writing strokes, which works for me. Ink quality is very good, and the ink is delivered at a steady rate.

The grip is thin and all plastic. If you want a rubber grip, you can purchase an additional Pentel Hybrid-Technica 0.3mm or 0.8mm non-retractible pen, and switch the pen body.

This is an awesome pen. When I found the hi-tec-c, I thought I found the best gel ink pen out there only to be later surprised by the Pentel slicci. This pain glides extremely smooth against the paper, especially considering it's fine tip but at the same time it's not one of those "wet" pens. It has a plastic grip though and I still prefer the hi-tec-c's ink, (I haven't tried the slicci's black yet to really judge which is better) but it still rivals it. I recommend giving this pen a shot.
