Even though this pen is narrower than I usually like, the Slicci gel pen .4 is a great pen for me to use in my journal with its narrow lines. The brown ink is not too dark or light and it writes smoothly and with no skips or blots. I haven't seen how long it lasts because I don't use it every day, but I would definitely recommend this pen.
