Pentel Slicci Gel Ink Pen - 0.7 mm - Black Ink

I have just recently started to buy gel pens, and so far this is the only one that I am satisfied with. I found the Pilot G2s too "skippy", and the Hi-Tecs were a bit too fine for me (I prefer 0.7). These are amazingly smooth and the colors are great (if a bit limited). Thanks for stocking this diameter!

This is my absolute favorite black pen. The ink is dark, it writes incredibly smoothly, and it never skips. This pen just glides!

I have a number of Pilot and Pentel gel and other pens for general writing, and just got this pen this week. This has become my all-time favorite. If you want a scratchy pen, this is the opposite. If you want a pen with an easily legible black line, not too wide, and a pen that glides over the paper as if the paper were Teflon, made just for your hand motion, this is the pen for you. My handwriting and printing appearance has become much smoother and fluid in style, and more artistically desirable. This pen has improved my writing more than hours of practice. I still use my fountain pen and other gels and pens, but this pen is the first I reach for, it's the bomb!

Pen writes smoothly and glides across the paper. It releases a ridiculously large amount of ink. It won't skip but unfortunately it doesn't dry quickly either. Expect smudges on your paper and hands. Although it is a 0.7, it seems to create an even thicker line than expected. It is short in length and has a thin barrel. This aspect makes it ideal for smaller hands. I will definitely not repurchase a Slicci in this point again. The 0.4 mm nib glides just as smoothly on the paper without the smudges as it dries quicker than this one.

I find there is almost nothing wrong with this pen. First of all I like the needle-ish tip which is great in my opinion for gel pens. In my taste, I like the way the pen looks except for the clip which says Slicci and silver around it. The FIRST DAY I got the pen in the mail it started to chip off but hasn't taken anymore damage since then. This pen is ideal for quick jotting anywhere you need to. It's also great for jotting down notes in a hurry since this pen is like the Papermate Profile of Gel pens; very smooth and writes vividly and almost has no white space in the lines. The cap nicely fits on the end and in some cases is more convenient then holding the cap (which is a habit of mine) One of the best gel pens I've used. Highly Recommended!


P.S.- This is the first one I've tried out if all the Pentel Slicci Ink pens and I can imagine the other point sizes and colors (love the sky blue color, really nice) are great, too. Wish they had a retractable version..
