Slicci has the least metallic ink I've ever seen in a supposedly metallic pen. And it's a very small pen for the price. Sure, it's cute, but not worth the money.
I've only tried gold & silver Slicci but I'm not going to buy any more metallic Slicci pens because there are so many better pens on this site for half the price of this one.

This pen is really lovely! It writes very smoothly, and the metallic ink is pretty. Although it is a more expensive than the similar Sakura Metallic Pens which are about half the price of a Slicci. The Sakura are just as metallic and perform very well, but write with a slightly wider 1.0mm line. The Slicci is nice for finer details and writing I think. This is a nice addition to the Slicci line, and would compliment the Sakura Metallic pens well. Great for holiday greeting cards and decoration.

I like the Pentel Slicci line of pens and that goes for the.08 metallic colors. The pen size is a little smaller than I typically like but it feels right for this pen. The 8 color set is one of the few sets of pens on Jetpens.com that you get a break in price for buying as opposed to buying them individual. It is cheaper for the 8 pack so if you are going to get a few of the colors it is worth it to get all 8. I was very happy with all of the colors but the blue happened to surprise me and stand out over the rest. I usually am not a fan of blue ink but in this metallic set I love it. The silver also was quite surprising. All of the colors do have a strong metallic look to them and lay a very even line. And I have never experienced any skipping with the Slicci line of pens in general. This set included.

my uses: decorative accents only, no lengthy missives
pros: smooth, metallic color; looks cool
cons: not a true fire engine red, but much softer in color more like a dark pink; the barrel is narrow if you prefer a wider grip; the ink did not write well or smoothly on the back of a photograph / photo paper, but it seems to perform fine on regular paper.
repurchase: no, I really wanted this to work on the backside of photo paper
