Ridiculously smooth....

Ridiculously smooth. I was really skeptical there would be much of a difference between lead brands, and I was very wrong. These just glide over the paper. They do wear down a bit quickly, but this is to be expected of 0.3mm 2B lead. It's very worth the wonderful writing experience. My other 0.3mm leads in B tend to snag the tiniest bit on regular printer or notebook paper. There's absolutely none of that in these. Very nice.

I cant seem to notice the difference between this 2b and the original Ain b. But I must say, this is just as smooth if not a hint smoother as the regular Ain.

I dont like the new container as much as the old one, although it looks better. I feel like I will snap the refills accidentally.

Good lead, buttery smooth, and definitely as break resistant if not a little more break resistant than the regular Ain.

First - The package contains only 15 pieces. For the same price, you get 40 pieces in a container of 0.5 mm lead. Interesting discrepancy.

From previous experience, 0.3 mm leads were just too fragile to be of any use. Even 0.5 was a little too delicate for my hand. Today's lead technology has produced some amazing leads, both super smooth and not fragile. Note: In my test I did not try to break the lead; rather, I wrote with it. And it writes very nicely. And it didn't break. This lead now has a regular place on my shopping list.

breaks super easily.

I'm using it in the Pilot Fure Fure Corone Shaker Mechanical Pencil and I end up breaking the extended lead fairly often. Perhaps my hand is too used to 0.5mm and I just need to be softer?

I bet the stiffness and alignment of the pencil has something to do with it, but you're going to have to expect some breakage with such skinny graphite.

nice if you really need fine lines, but probably not good for general office use

Love these leads. I write very small so I need a fine point. I bought more so I don't run out.

I am anul on my pencil darkness, smoothness and resistance to breakage. This is the best value yet for my needs. Only wish there was a 3B as I like my writing to look like pen.
