This is one of the smoothest blue leads I have used - definitely great for drawing and sketching. An added bonus is the reformulation did make them stronger than Pentel's previous blue leads. They can actually hold their own under pressure and on a rough tooth paper..

Blues being a wax-based lead, they never do erase quite as well as graphite, but these ones do erase better than other blues I've used. They also don't cause ink to bead up and roll off the lines like other blues...

All in all, the best blue leads I've used.

For my purposes, this lead didn't really work that well. I had hoped to use it when taking notes to call out certain portions of text, but the lead drags, almost feeling waxy; the resulting written text is very light. I'm now only using it with small text stencils, which it works well for. This same review also applies to the red version of this product, which I also purchased and experienced exactly the same results with.

Got this based on the other reviews, but this blue lead is a work in progress. The lead breaks often and the blue is not a darker blue. Disappointed.

Awesome lead! I repurposed one of my old SumoGrips just for blue lead and it worked out spectacularly. Only thing is, is that if you let it sit for an extended period, it will stick to the sides of the container and require some work to get it out. Oh, and it tends to snap while in use.. But overall a great buy, and the color is amazing!

This lead is just the worst.
Its easily breakable (I don't have a heavy hand and even setting my pencil down too hard snaps it , wasting the lead) and ghosts like Slimer (if you can actually erase it in any meaningful way, which you can't).

I really wish I had known how asinine this lead was before attempting to use it for an important project. Unfortunately, I didn't and now Iv'e wasted my money and my paper.

If you're using this as a replacement for Uni's Mint Blue lead: don't. Just bite the bullet and buy Pilot's coloured leads in .07, you'll be much happier.

Apologies for my temper, but making a lead that doesn't erase and splinters like glass if the wind blows the wrong way is inexcusable.

You need a light hand to write with these without the lead breaking, but then it's rather pale. I don't think I'll be able to use these.
