Not metallic, not shiny,..., January 27, 2012

Not metallic, not shiny, not sparkly, and not reflective enough to be called "metallic."
It's about as gold as a gold crayon...
It is comfortable to hold, and opaque so it writes well on dark paper: but those are the *only* reasons I'm not throwing it away!

This review is from Pentel Sunburst Metallic Gel Ink Pen - 0.7 mm - Silver
We use these to mark and identify black rubber samples used in our production of rubber products. The gel from these pens actually sticks to the slick rubber, and doesnt skip, or fade after marking. We have tried several brands and types, and these work the best in our process.

This review is from Pentel Sunburst Metallic Gel Ink Pen - 0.7 mm - Silver
Not metallic, not shiny, not sparkly, and not reflective enough to be called "metallic."
It's like a pale grayish white, not silver...even less reflective than #2 pencil lead!
At some angles, the silver ink actually disappears on white paper. Shows up better on black paper but still, its not metallic, not silver... :( I really wanted to like the Sunburst pens!!!
The pen itself is comfortable to hold, and writes well on dark paper: but those are the *only* reasons I'm not throwing it away!

this is a rich, beautiful..., February 15, 2011

This review is from Pentel Sunburst Metallic Gel Ink Pen - 0.7 mm - Red
this is a rich, beautiful red that's more subtle than the standard blood red ink pens. i also like that it's not too shiny and you wouldn't notice it's metallic unless you looked at it closely. it's a nice way to add some spice to your writing or notes without drawing too much attention. the ink flows very well, but starts to skip when you're down to a quarter. also, it's easy to burn through the ink if you use it regularly (i.e. filling up about 10 8.5"x11" notebook sheets).

This review is from Pentel Sunburst Metallic Gel Ink Pen - 0.7 mm - Bronze
this is my favorite color of the pentel sunburst metallic ink pens. it's vivid without being overpowering and it doesn't look entirely metallic unless you examine it up close. the ink flows especially well, but it starts skipping when you're down to the last quarter and if you use it regularly (like me) you can burn through the ink very quickly (i.e. filling up about 10 8.5"x11" notebook pages with writing). i wish jp stocked the ink refills, because i'd probably buy them in bulk rather than needing to order an entirely new pen when the old one dies.
