The ballpoint pen refills are as expected, the same great writing experience as the original pen. I am not much of a pencil user so I am not as concerned with that copnonent. I can say that the pencil works just fine and I have lead that I love in it so I am as happy as expected. Good product over all, nice size just a bit wider than the Vicuna pen.

I am curious how the other reviewer was able to know how much lead it would hold if they couldn't figure out how to load the lead? I believe it is another review that is not trustworthy becasue of inaccurate information.

***The purpose for rating and reviews is to allow potential customers to get a feel of how good a product is. That is not possible if there is anything other than solid reviews from credible people. Please help make this system work and in turn it will help Jetpens thrive as a business so they can continue delivering the great products and services they offer. It is the least you can do as a loyal customer.

***I urge everyone who loves Jetpens (and those who don't but purchase items from them) to please leave credible reviews of products that YOU HAVE PERSONALLY USED. The system does no work if it has items rated from what they look like, or peoples impression of how good they may or may not work, leaving questions about restocking a product, or anything else that does not pertain to who well a product is made and if it works as promised plus any details that someone WHO HAS PERSONAL EXPERIENCE with it either like or dislikes.

Very poorly designed for the pencil user in mind. There are no instructions on how to refill the pencil nor does it look as if it will hold more than two sticks of lead. The pens write fine, but I purchased it to be primarily a pencil and that's just not working for me. Too bad I purchased two of them. They do not come in any type of packaging that would offer directions for use either.

This pen writes beautifully. Very smooth. Comfortable grip and great color. And of course the forever bonus of a multi-pen is the fact that you get 2 pens and one pencil all in one. Love it...recommend.
