DescriptionSpecificationsFrequently Asked Questions
Black ink pen.

The Pilot Acroball contains a newly created oil-based ink that has 1/5 of the viscosity (or what you could describe as \"stickiness\") of conventional oil-based inks on the market. In this sense, it is in the same category of the Uni-ball Jetstream as it targets frictionless and smooth writing performance. The unique blend of ink and lubricants allows the ball at the pen tip to rotate smoothly, creating an enjoyable, non-skip writing experience. Oil-based ink draws in satisfyingly dark lines and is also water resistant. The patent pending grip features tire-like patterns and a slightly curved shape to give a nonslip hold. Available in red, blue and black ink colors. Refills available.

I didn't think it was perceptibly smoother than regular Pilot ballpoint.

I own all the "Smooth" Ballpoints (Jetstream/Vicuna/Acroball/Ink Joy/Dong-A/Surari) and in the 0.7 tip size this one is my absolute favorite. It writes as smoothly as any of the others but writes darker than all of them. If you must have the absolute darkest line possible in 0.7 IMO this is it.

This pen writes a nice, smooth, dark line (which is actually similar in size to that produced by the 0.5 mm acroball, just a little smoother). I really like the grip and the way the pen feels in my hand. However, I am getting a lot of ink blobs when I write. Other reviewers have not mentioned this problem so maybe I just got a dud. I may buy a refill to test that out, but I think I'll be sticking to the 0.5 mm acroball.

I remember when I first saw this pen, I thought, hmmmm, will it write well on notebook paper, I write a lot, and take notes, will this not "SKIP" lines? Let me say, this pen is the ultimate writing machine, and get this.... I tried to find it in the Indianapolis, and no one has it, everyone orders it from HERE!!!!! This is the mac-daddy of pens, and I love it!
Truly creative and never smudges, always dark and good non-breakable lines of writing. Very-very good writing intrument, and trust me, I'm a purest when it comes to my pens.
