Bought this for my boyfriend..., October 29, 2012
Bought this for my boyfriend on his 30th birthday. I thought it was appropriate
to buy him an "Ageless Future". Get it?! :p Anyways, he's a writer, and always
carries a pen in his front pant pocket. This is great because it isn't so
pointy, and won't stab him in the leg so much when he sits down. Also, he's a
lefty, and he gives it the lefty stamp of approval. The weight is heavy and
balanced. The first day he used it, he wrote fourteen pages in one sitting
instead of the usual four or five pages.
The only downside to this pen, is that even though it's non-stabby, it really
isn't great for carrying around. It gets lint trapped inside the barrel. He
needs to clear the barrel out from time to time so that it will operate
appropriately. Also, the pretty silver finish dents and scratches really easily.
As soon as he received the pen, he dropped it on my dog's crate, and it showed a
very noticeable dent. He still loves the pen and uses it every day, but if you
plan on using it on the go, consider the Ageless Present (or Timeline Present)
model instead. I have that one, carry it with me everywhere, and the
plastic/resin body is really durable.
As or the ink, the included blue .7mm ink is bold and smooth. Love it! I'm a
teacher and am thinking of getting an entirely new body, just so I can buy the
1mm red ink. :) I just wish I liked the color choices a bit more (champagne
gold, dark teal, espresso brown, and burgundy would be great!)

really a fantastic writing..., February 1, 2011
really a fantastic writing experience. Nicely weighted pen, love the quality of
the ink. Only complaint is that the body of the pen scratches extremely easily.
No doubt this is why it comes with a highly engineered protective case.
Still worth it though due to the perfect feel in the hand.

even though this pen..., September 23, 2011
This review is from Pilot Ageless Future Ballpoint Pen - 0.7 mm - Purple Body
even though this pen is okay, i find my alpha jetstream in my hand more than
this thing (even though it costs WAY more) I was truly kind of disappointed by
the performance. The ink is not consistent and doesnt have little features like
being able to write upside down, like a uni power tank. The only reason i give
this pen a 4 is because of the looks. This pen turns heads on meetings, so i
guess i like it, but it is not my main pen. The alpha jetstream is. I do not
belive anybody can make a better pen than the alpha.
