The Cavalier fountain pen is gorgeous. At first, we just considered it as another quality pen from the Pilot Cavalier series. But after trying it out we realized that the fine nib writes almost as fine as a Hi-Tec-C 0.5 mm gel pen, which is quite amazing for a fountain pen. It combines modern and professional design with superb writing capability. The pen features a nice slim body with gold accents.

The pen comes in a gift box, and one black ink cartridge is included. Compatible ink cartridges and the compatible CON-20 converter can be found under Recommended Refills/Parts.

Wrote very dry from the box. I did play a bit with the nib, and after that the nib began writing juicer. I love using this pen. It's light, slim, and a nice metallic blue color. ( but for the price, I should not have to play with the nib to make it write properly).

Very nice, and at this price I can keep it in my purse without sweating over loss or damage. Perfect for writing in the little Rhodia journal I purchased from JetPens earlier this year.

I do love this pen, it looks positively lovely and the balance is wonderful, I can write with it for hours on end. Though I did have some issues with the nib for the first several months I've owned this fountain pen, it took ages before the ink flow would start up, and when it finally did the pen constantly skipped, regardless of what ink I used or the paper I wrote on. But after a little playing around with the nib, properly aliening the tines, it now writes like a dream. This has to be my absolute favorite fountain pen.
