March 28, 2008
At first i didnt like this pen as much as say, hi-tec of the same tip diameter.
My opinion is now different. the pen tip is much more durable than the hi tec (I
bent the hi tec .5mm the first day i had it!, but that was me not paying
attention at work). Though they are the same size, I wouldnt say they write the
same. the hi tec still feels like it is more precise, but this feels a little
more planted to the page.
Definitely recommend.

I do NOT care for the ink in this pen. It's thick for a 0.5mm and it has
occasion to skip. I do, however, love the physical pen body. The cap is adorable
and allows for easy on-book clipping. I switched the Pilot refill for a Uni-ball
Signo 0.38mm and haven't looked back yet.

This pen is a good, general purpose pen, but the ink flow is very heavy and will
take quite some time to dry. Also expect blobbing when you write quickly.
The ink, unlike Pilot's famous G2 line, is real carbon pigment gel ink, not the
cheap, dye-based G2 ink, so it truly is archival and solvent proof.
To be honest, though, Uniball Signos are a better pen.

Cute, nice looking inexpensive pen,and comes in some nice colors. But, the ink
flow is a little uneven, and it's not as smooth as other pens like it. It's a
little skippy here, a little globby there.
For the same price, you can get a uni-ball signo UM 100, which lays a nicer line
and is smoother, although the presentationof the Uni is not as attractive, I
admit. This is, I believe, the type of pen Pilot is trying to compete with.
Pilot, I know you can do better - for example, the Hi-Tec and the new FriXion,
"color-pencil'like" erasable gel pens. Get to it!

Has a nice, thick black line. Not the blackest I've seen, but solid with good
coverage. Very smooth.
The only problem is, the ink is a bit too eager to leave the pen. A few days
after getting this pen, it leaked all over my pencil case. I've never had that
happen before. Maybe it was just a random bad pen that made it past quality
control?
If the pen hadn't leaked, it'd be a decent and affordable black pen.

Pilot Choose Gel Ink Pen - 0.7 mm - 12 Color Set
While the .7 mm line is a bit wide for my preference, there is no denying the
performance of these pens. They are not only beautifully designed on the
outside, they write fantastically! The colors are lush, vibrant, and true to the
caps. This set is a great value and makes an extremely attractive gift, to boot.

Pilot Choose Gel Ink Pen - 0.7 mm - 12 Color Set
Amazing pens! The only bad thing is that the silver, white and gold pens must be
bought separately. Apart from that, I can say the writing is smooth and the
colours are very nice.
Totally recommended.

Pilot Choose Gel Ink Pen - 0.7 mm - White
It's not easy to find pens which actually work in the intense drawings I make
moving the pen under computer control (see http://mlyon.com for examples of my
work) -- 9 out of 10 pens stop writing long before the ink supply has been
exhausted and that can be very frustrating!
The Pilot .7mm White Gel Ink pens draw and draw until the last drop of ink has
been used. They're also pleasantly semi-opaque -- they develop intense whiteness
only after several layers have been laid down -- they're perfect for my work and
I'm very pleased!
Excellent! Now, if I could purchase only the refill cartridges, it would be an
almost perfect world! :-)

Pilot Choose Gel Ink Pen - 0.5 mm - Blue
Good flow, nice design. Only thing is, the um-100 has a smoother flow and feels
less scratchy, but this pen looks nicer and overall writes good, just not as
good as the um-100.

Pilot Choose Gel Ink Pen - 0.7 mm - 12 Color Set
I think I'm obsessed with these pens. I carry the entire set with me wherever I
go. In fact, I'm starting to get obsessed with this site. It's been only a week
since I got these pens and already I've filled up my cart with twice the dollar
amount of my last order. The colors are nice and rich, the ink flows and
flows...I wish they'd come out with a .5 or .4. Then I'll buy up those too. I'm
the envy of some of my poor co-workers so I fear for the pens'
safety--especially since our department's office supply budget is practically
nonexistent (it's all crummy Staples brand ballpoint pens, and not even a lot of
those).

Pilot Choose Gel Ink Pen - 0.7 mm - Gold
What can I say? This pen rocks! Many gold pens dry up quickly, after spending
most of their lives skipping and sputtering. That is so not the case with the
Pilot Choose Gel Ink! This pen is always ready to go - no shaking or praying
necessary. The line is a nice color of gold, great for anything from writing
thank yous, to adding cool embellishments to drawings and doodles. More than any
other gold pen I've tried - save the Uni-ball Signo (which does have some issues
after time) - I love this pen. I am a convert to this pen, glad to have found it
after years of using other brands that always made me cringe. I am back to using
gold ink again, thanks to the Pilot Choose Gel Ink Pen. Plus, Jet Pens offers
this sweet thang at a great price. Get your gold game on with this pen. You can
thank me later.

Pilot Choose Gel Ink Pen - 0.7 mm - Sky Blue
I have several of these pens. I bought the bright pink, orange, and gold about a
year ago - and they still work wonderfully well. I like the width of the line -
and the ink doesn't skip at all. It's a smooth, consistent flow - and the pen
glides across the paper. No skipping. The color is pretty - and will be used a
lot.
I would totally recommend these pens - and will buy more. And just a note - the
shipping time? OMG I ordered Thurs, they arrived in today's mail - and it's
Saturday. Awesome!!

Pilot Choose Gel Ink Pen - 0.7 mm - 12 Color Set
I bought these pens by impulse because of all of the pretty colors. It's great
to use for occasional card writing and drawing but when it comes to hardcore
notetaking the barrel is too big for me and so is the pen tip. Otherwise I
would've loved this pen collection to death!

Pilot Choose Gel Ink Pen - 0.7 mm - Pink
This is a wonderful, free flowing coloring pen! No skipping or scratching, and
the ink flows so well that you actually get a bead of ink sometimes. You CAN use
it for fine details with care, though.
The color is a very bright hot pink. When wet, it's almost fluorescent pink with
orange overtones. It can look a little streaky as you apply it, but any
uneveness in color disappears once it dries completely.

Pilot Choose Gel Ink Pen - 0.7 mm - White
I'm not gonna use any other white gel pen after this. It so far has been the
smoothest and thinnest line I've found so far and I've tried at least 4 other
types of white gel pen. Sadly they are SO hard to find!!

Pilot Choose Gel Ink Pen - 0.7 mm - Gold
The gold color of the Choose ink is unlike any other gold pen. It is very rich
and vibrant gold that looks beautiful on light and dark paper. It also writes
smooth and effortlessly. This is the only Pilot Choose pen I have tried, but now
I want to buy every color because the gold pen is soooooo great!!!
You should buy the Pilot Choose pens if you enjoy using a well-designed pen with
smooth, beautiful ink, and a nice solid pen body that looks and feels like a
very well-made product.

This review is from
Pilot Choose Gel Ink Pen - 0.7 mm - Orange
my uses: decorative accents, limited writing only
pros: smooth ink
cons: writes "ok" on the back of photo paper, skips a little and could be
better; not as 'cool' looking as other gel pens
other factors: ink dries rather matte, limited sheen when dry; this looks more
like fluorescent orange to me, not a 'regular' orange which is what I was
looking for.
repurchase: not unless I develop a need for more a bright, 'highlighter' like
orange

Pilot Choose Gel Ink Pen - 0.7 mm - White
This was good til I tried the uniball white ink pen. Ink was a bit on the thin
side. If u go over same spot twice, the think will b uneven. I wanted this for a
replacement for using white-out because I wanted a more precise and small tip to
white out tiny mistakes in my drawings. But this one's ink doesn't completely
cover my mistakes. So now I use this for making my black lines appear gray for
affects and backgrounds by using this pen right over the black lines that I want
to appear grayish.

Pilot Choose Gel Ink Pen - 0.7 mm - 12 Color Set
LOVE! First noticed these pens because someone else had them. Wanted them
desperately but could not find them ANYWHERE! Took a year and a half before I
happened upon JetPens for another pen set and saw these as well. Had to
buy...and worth every penny. They write smooth and are very vibrant. And I am
partial to 0.7mm pens so that makes them that much better. A MUST buy.
