The intense competition between Japanese pen manufacturers produces a joyful new innovative product line every year. The best traits of gel pens have been carefully selected for the Pilot Choose line. LIke the Uniball UM-100 pens (you'll notice that the two look suspiciously similar) the ink flows very smoothly and comes in a multitude of vibrant colors. Like the Uni-ball Signo Broad line, the Pilot Choose ink is waterproof and fade resistant. Lastly, the pens are bargain priced, practically labeled with the color names on their caps, and are made of 73% recycled plastic!! The 0.7 mm line includes the rare ink colors of silver, white and gold, all three of which show up on dark colored paper.

my uses: decorative accents, limited writing only
pros: smooth ink
cons: writes "ok" on the back of photo paper, skips a little and could be better; not as 'cool' looking as other gel pens
other factors: ink dries rather matte, limited sheen when dry; this looks more like fluorescent orange to me, not a 'regular' orange which is what I was looking for.
repurchase: not unless I develop a need for more a bright, 'highlighter' like orange

This review is from Pilot Choose Gel Ink Pen - 0.7 mm - 12 Color Set
While the .7 mm line is a bit wide for my preference, there is no denying the performance of these pens. They are not only beautifully designed on the outside, they write fantastically! The colors are lush, vibrant, and true to the caps. This set is a great value and makes an extremely attractive gift, to boot. :)

Amazing pens! The only bad thing is that the silver, white and gold pens must be bought separately. Apart from that, I can say the writing is smooth and the colours are very nice.

Totally recommended.

This review is from Pilot Choose Gel Ink Pen - 0.7 mm - White
It's not easy to find pens which actually work in the intense drawings I make moving the pen under computer control (see http://mlyon.com for examples of my work) -- 9 out of 10 pens stop writing long before the ink supply has been exhausted and that can be very frustrating!

The Pilot .7mm White Gel Ink pens draw and draw until the last drop of ink has been used. They're also pleasantly semi-opaque -- they develop intense whiteness only after several layers have been laid down -- they're perfect for my work and I'm very pleased!

Excellent! Now, if I could purchase only the refill cartridges, it would be an almost perfect world! :-)
