Looks nice, but that's where it stops. For the price I expected so much more. The mechanics of the pencil are extremely clunky and lead doesnt always advance.

Pilot really dropped the ball on this one, and you'll be paying for a headache instead of a quality writing instrument. The lead will load, but it will always jam in the "clutch" from the lead tube in the pencil. The pencil has to be "front loaded" like a 2mm clutch pencil. I found that the last 10 MM of lead are still wasted, because it will not advance out of the clutch. A total waste of my bucks. Very disappointed that Pilot let this lemon out of the lab. Worst, most problematic mechanical pencil I've ever owned.

Poor design causes the lead to jam in the clutch when trying to load the pencil from it's interior storage tube. The pencil will, however load easily from the tip if you're careful not to break the lead while holding down the plunger and pushing it in. Very disappointed in this pencil, as I expected more from Pilot. It will save you lead because of its "clutch" design, but it looks like it will be a temperamental, glitch clunker of a pencil to use.

I bought this pencil, actually thinking it would save me some lead, but it turns out to be just the opposite. I've wasted and broken more pieces of lead trying to get this pencil to actually function than I would with a regular .5mm pencil. A complete waste of valuable time and money. The lead consistently jams in the advance mechanism and has to be "front loaded" to be useful. The pencil does not, as advertised, hold on to the last 2 mm of lead. Junk, junk, junk...and I'm surprised that Pilot ever let this thing out for retail.
