This lead is smooth and doesn't break easily. I love the color, but I am disappointed it doesn't erase well. I wouldn't buy again.

This review is from Pilot Color Eno Neox Mechanical Pencil Lead - 0.7 mm - Soft Blue
EXCELLENT!! I've been looking for a lead like this for years. It's non-photo blue, erases easily without leaving a residue, and is covered by both copic multiliner ink and india ink without beading or adhesion issues. The 0.7mm size doesn't break easily. If you want a non-photo blue pencil you don't have to sharpen, pop this in a 0.7mm pencil and go to town.

This review is from Pilot Color Eno Neox Mechanical Pencil Lead - 0.7 mm - Blue
These are my favorite brand of colored leads for mechanical pencils (not that there's a whole lot to choose from!) I like them slightly better then the Uniball leads, although those are really high quality as well. These erase slightly better than the Uniball ones. The lead is really soft, so the only downside is you go through them really fast. But I prefer softer leads anyway so I'm used to it and it's not a big deal, they're well worth it!

This review is from Pilot Color Eno Mechanical Pencil Lead - 0.7 mm - Yellow
I have used Eno leads for years but this last order of yellow were horrible. I ordered 6 packs of them, and all of them were the same. The lead was brittle, hard, and you almost had to scratch the paper in order to leave any color on the page. Mechanical colored pencils are a brilliant idea, but this is just a poor product. I ordered some blue and violet at the same time with no issues - nice and soft with good color coverage. But avoid these yellow leads. My previous Eno yellow leads were wonderful so I am wondering if this is a changed formulation at the factory? Or?

It's got a nice light color and is very easy to erase, and is very fun to sketch with. I wish this brand did .5 mm color lead too.

Nice color but extremely hard to erase, especially if you're doing under drawing for inking comics. Is there anything better out there?

Leads are brittle and hard. Almost have to scratch the paper in order to leave colour on the page. Violet and blue leads are fine - no issues. My previous yellow leads had no such issues... are these old stock?

  I use colored pencils..., August 11, 2011

This review is from Pilot Color Eno Mechanical Pencil Lead - 0.7 mm - Pink
I use colored pencils to draft out rough sketches, and these (plus the green and soft blue) work extremely well for that purpose. The color is dark enough for you to clearly see what you're drawing, but light enough for you to draw over it with a regular mechanical pencil and see those lines clearly over the colored ones. The color will also not show up when you scan your picture under the 'grayscale' setting, meaning you can scan in your drawing to show others without needing to bother erasing your guidelines, a big plus if you're lazy like I am.

These leads do erase cleanly and when I use them I don't have to go running to the pencil sharpener every five minutes! :D

The only less-than-desirable thing about these leads is that they seem to run out faster than typical mechanical pencil leads, so if you do a lot of drawing, buy a lot of leads. When I first bought my Pilot Color pencils, I only bought one refill pack for each color. I ran out in a few weeks and was quite dismayed to have to switch back to a lame old wooden pencil while I waited for new leads to arrive.

This review is from Pilot Color Eno Neox Mechanical Pencil Lead - 0.7 mm - Red
Contains 10 leads. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND this pencil lead! I'm a tax accountant, so I use red pencil constantly. This lead has a nice red color to it (the plain Color Eno lead has more of a pink tint.) I will only use this lead from now on, and I love it - no more trips to the sharpener or dull red pencils!

The violet lead is amazing!..., February 22, 2013
This review is from Pilot Color Eno Mechanical Pencil Lead - 0.7 mm - Violet
The violet lead is amazing! I use it for doing sketches in my product design classes and is all around cheaper in terms both time investment and price when compared to using verithins or col-erase pencils, as far as purchasing and having to sharpen constantly to maintain a strong point. The only reason for the 4/5 rating is the price, if only it were a bit cheaper. Oh well I'll just have to stockpile before other students catch wind of these. Oh, and by the way white vinyl erasers usually take care of mistakes but don't grind the lead into the paper or you're just asking for trouble.

This review is from Pilot Color Eno Neox Mechanical Pencil Lead - 0.7 mm - Blue
These leads are fantastic. The comments about not being able to erase are untrue IF you choose the proper eraser to use. The stock eraser on the Eno pencils doesn't work, but the Factis black 80 hand eraser does the job well. These leads give a good solid line with rich color and an easy, soft feel. I wish they came in 0.9 mm as well, but I haven't found that yet.

This review is from Pilot Color Eno Mechanical Pencil Lead - 0.7 mm - Red
Not bad lead-- it writes smooth and has a decent colour-- a bit more pink as the other reviewer mentioned, rather than a true red, but not bad. Biggest drawback about this lead for me is that it really doesn't erase well. Even light strokes fail to erase completely. Strange, because its light blue brother erases completely very easily.

For those of you trying to find an equivelant non-photo blue pencil lead on this site try pilot color eno neox or uni-ball color soft blue. The uni-ball lead does not fade as quickly in sunlight than the regular eno, but i have not tried the neox yet.

I fear the day they may discontinue this product because I have relied on it so much.
Doesn't smudge, and despite what others say, erasing isn't really that bad with a quality eraser (though that might be because I don't really have a heavy hand).

Seriously my favorite lead ever.

Finally a colored pencil lead that writes clearly and is also erasable! I love this lead and I can definitely recommend it. I'll probably add all the colors (eventually).

a really vibrant bubble gum pink that i LOVE. Sadly, it breaks so easily when you try to write with it. It's more useful when you actually color with it like a regular colored pencil.

This review is from Pilot Color Eno Mechanical Pencil Lead - 0.7 mm - Red
I would recommend the Color Eno NEOX red lead over this one. I've used both extensively - I'm a tax accountant who must always use a red pencil. This lead has more of a pink hue to it, and it fades more over time. The NEOX led is more red and fades less.

BETTER! WAY BETTER than the regular Pilot Eno soft blue lead! The cheaper Eno lead wears down SOOOOOOO quickly. However, this ENO NEOX lead does NOT! I just tested it and I did NOT have to frequently advance the lead.
HIGHLY RECOMMENDED for those who LOVE to use light blue lead!

This review is from Pilot Color Eno Neox Mechanical Pencil Lead - 0.7 mm - Blue
I love the lead colors in this product line--they're bright and saturated. I use them a lot for my underdrawings, especially because they erase well. On the downside, I use a heavy hand when sketching, so the soft lead snaps quite often :s I'll either have to invest in more of these refill packs or use a softer touch when drawing with this lead...
