This pencil is a must buy it has every thing. It its a shaker pencil and it has an on and off for putting in new lead. Another pro is how perfectly its wheighted for writing. I like writing in a thin line and this pencil is perfect for the neat freak because it wont get writing on the bottom of your pencil case. All my other pencils are more thick. This one is thin and perfect for writing essays. The price is great too for a whopping 7.50$ it's a must buy. I have used obly this pencil for a 2 month's now.

I like the looks, but there are only a few small problems I had: After you shake to advance the lead, it goes back into the tip slightly due to the looseness of the metal tip. It drives me crazy, but I can live with it. Another thing is that when you retract the pencil, a small amount of lead is advanced so there is a worrisome bit of lead still sticking out. But, this pencil is overall a good instrument for writing, etc., even though the grip is a little uncomfortable.

well built pencil. The tip doesn't wobble at all, which is an issue with some retracting pencils. I've never dropped it or anything, but the lead tends to break WAY too easily. Makes me wonder if the lead isn't supported at the tip of the metal outlet, or if my tip is bent.

I've never dropped it though. I use the exact same lead in other pencils and it never breaks.

I'm giving it four stars because it may just be me using excessive force. It's a wide pencil and I do find myself pushing harder than i do with other pencils.

This is one of the best pencils that you will ever find. I bring this everyday and never let's me down. If anyone that does not write lightly and writes really fast will need to buy a lot of lead. In mine I put like 3 extra sticks of lead just to make sure I won't run out. The double knock action is just awesome. This pencil is very hard to find. I have never found this in a store. The green on this one is like an apple green. The other one with the blue looks good but not like this one. Overall this is the best pencil you can find at this price. It basically has everything you need for this price. For me I give this a 4 1/2 but I will round it up to a 5 stars

Great pencil! The weight is nice, due to the shaker mechanism, which makes it well balanced. One of the best mechanical pencils I've used.

Just bought 3 of these pens and they are very high quality for the price! Love the double knock action!

this is the best ever! i like how it retracts so it doesnt damage any pockets or other things. the color and design is awesome too. i always use this pencil since it writes really smoothly and cleanly.

This is easily the best mechanical pencil I have ever owned. I don't regret paying $7.50 for it at ALL, and plan on buying a couple more when the stock turns over. I have the pink and orange one, but I'd like to get the black and pink one, as well.

The weight of the pencil and its shape are my favorite parts; I have large hands and it's exceedingly easy for me to use. I can write pages of notes without my hands getting tired.

awesome pencil. very high quality. dubbleknock function is awesome, very sturdy, shaker mechanism is great the lead comes out much faster than my old Dr. grip which i lost =(. would definitely recommend this to anyone.

Excellent pencil!! I enjoy writing with it and it looks great. I normally use 0.7 or 0.9 so I think I will need to order some harder leads. Or they could make a 0.7 and 0.9 versions!

This is one of the coolest mechanical pencils i have ever used!!! This is not your typical MADE IN CHINA pencil, no, no, no,no, this is MADE IN JAPAN!!!! The best quality smooth writting, the paint will not chip, will last a lifetime, what more can you ask for!!! A must buy!! 5/5!

Amazing pencil! Can't wait until you restock the other colors. The size and weight are wonderful, bigger than I expected, but very solid and balanced. Plus the shaker mechanism is great in a pencil with a bigger grip. I had the original Pilot Shaker a long time ago, but the grip was much more narrow and not really made for writing.

The Pilot Delful mechanical pencil is absolutely wonderful. The double knock design comes from one of Pentel's pencils named the Technica-X which has been a long time favorite of mine. Much to my delight, Pilot took this concept a step further in incorporating their famous shaker mechanism. This pencil has a great outer casing and feels light but sturdy. All the mechanisms are solid and move smoothly to provide a seamless writing experience. This is definitely my new favorite mechanical pencil, and all for only $7.50. The Pilot Delful is a must buy for anyone looking for a great new pencil and a minimum price.

Some things I would still like to see incorporated in the future:
- Pilot should use their better Dr. Grip grip on this pencil
- I would love to have an extend-able eraser
- Stock more colors (I want to buy at least one more, but there are only two colors to choose from currently.)

Love this line of pencils. Picked up one right away when there were only a couple of colors and quickly added more once more variations became available.

I agree with all of the other reviews so no need to repeat them, but do have a solution that works for me for those complaining of the lead extending when closing the pencil down.

When I am ready to put it away, I first push down the cap enough to extend the lead, then without releasing, I push the lead all the way in (as with a regular lead pencil), then with the same motion, continue to press the cap to activate the double action which will allow the pencil to close without any lead extended.

This pencil I had for 4 years. It was the only pencil I used. It was the best pencil ever. Now I need to get another because I lost it. :( Siiigh. Hopefully I won't lose it again. This really is the best. pencil. ever. <3

I think it's great for the price! I've had this pencil for exactly two years. I'm going to start with the cons. The grip is breaking now, but it is great for two years (I write very hard). The shaker sometimes doesn't work, or sometimes I have to shake more than I'd want to get some lead out, but this pencil also works like a regular mechanical pencil (without shaking) so it was it fine. Finally, sometimes my lead would get lodged in the inside so I'd have to take the pencil apart to take the lead out and make it work again. It sometimes got annoying, especially during exams! I really did love this pencil though. I'm studying engineering, so I did a looot of writing with this baby. It's dying on me now since the shaker recently stopped working and the grip looks like I've been chewing it :/ but it's only because it's worn out. I used this pencil for all of my classes so far. It lasted me a very long time! I loved this pencil.

The perfect mechanical pencil for me!

PROS
-I love the visual style of the mechanical pencil.
-Writes precisely and smoothly. The tip doesn't wobble and holds the lead well.
-I love the retractable tip! This helps protect the tip of the pencil and also protects my pocket from getting holes in it.
-The weight/heft is perfect!
-The grip is a firm one which I prefer. The thickness is just right.
-The shaker advance system for the lead works great.

CONS
-Hard to find this pencil.

Additional note:
I liked this mechanical pencil so much, I picked up a second one for at home and am sending one to each of my 4 nieces and 2 nephews.

So I got this pencil at the beginning of my senior year of high school. Since then to this day after one year of college, it is the ONLY PENCIL I USED EVER on tests, on scantrons, on papers, anything and everything. It is one of the most versatile pencils ever. My only issue is the tiny eraser, but I love my pentel hi-polymer eraser to tidy up my mistakes. This pencil will probably be the only pencil I use ever. It is a necessity in my arsenal of writing instruments. :)

This is a terrific pencil for the price. It feels sturdy and I like the lead-shaking mechanism. I filled it with Pentel Stein HB lead and it writes like a dream. I'm considering getting these as stocking stuffers for my family next Christmas!

this i s good! i jammed it by pushing the middle clear plastic part in the wrong way so... the shaky jammed good pencil

I want it to come so badly i just ordered this pencil and i hope it's GREAT!

This pencil is awesome. the lead only goes back into the pencil if the mechanism is jammed with crushed lead. To fix this, you must dismantle your pencil and find the part where the crushed lead is at. Cleaning that area should do the trick. This happens once in a while.

I loved this pencil,when I would drop this pencil nothing would break suprisingly.The led does not break often like other pencils.Overall great pencil and beautiful design.
