I love this pen... for..., September 10, 2012
I love this pen... for its body. I'm something of a multipen aficionado
(Jetstream, Surari, Acroball, I've got 'em all, and usually multiples) and I
absolutely adore the body on the Dr. Grip 4+1. It's really nicely weighted, the
grip provides just the right amount of cushion, and it looks really classy.
Unfortunately, the ink is pretty awful. All four colors are prone to white
streaks, and the black and blue in particular are just average crappy ballpoint
ink. If only the ink were as good as the regular Dr. Grip ink, it would be
stellar. (I have, however, solved that particular problem by using the Acroball
multi-pen refills, which fit perfectly! My beloved hybrid ink + classy body =
win. Now I just need a green Acroball refill...)

The workmanship is superb..., August 10, 2011
The workmanship is superb for multi-pen, attracts attention every single time.
However, the red ink does not seem to function well. I bought 2 f these pens and
neither one of them has functioning red color...what a bummer. What a
disappointemt for a pen I waited patiently to arrive in the mail

I purchased this pen..., March 26, 2011
I purchased this pen and it is my new favorite. The color stands out and the
grip is easy to hold. I changed the refills with the Pentel sliccies 0.3mm to
make it super fine!! I keep my eye on this pen and never let it out my sight. I
will purchase another one as a back up... just in case.

This is an awesome pen...., January 12, 2011
This is an awesome pen. The grip isn't quite as comfortable as the Dr. Grip
Center of Gravity pens/pencils, but it is still quite nice. I would definitely
recommend this!

I was really excited..., March 22, 2013
This review is from Pilot Dr. Grip 4+1 4 Color 0.7 mm Ballpoint Multi Pen + 0.5 mm Pencil - Series I - White Body
I was really excited to get this pen/pencil, as I am a nursing student and
wanted a high-quality refillable multi-pen to take with me to clinicals. I must
say that I absolutely love it. However, this was my first-ever Dr. Grip pen and
I was very disappointed with the grip - which is what Dr. Grip is famous for.
It is very hard and doesn't feel squishy at all. It hardly even feels like
there is a grip on it, actually. I decided to give Dr. Grip another chance and
ordered the Pure White (with the cute pink accents) and I must say that the grip
on that pencil is much softer. That being said, don't order this if you are
expecting a nice soft grip. It's really firm, but it still is somehow
ergonomic. I love it, and it works perfectly for the purpose that I ordered it
for. I also played with it for literally fifteen minutes before I gave up and
looked up how to extend the lead in the pencil function (you push the clip down
even farther than you may think you should).
Pros:
Very elegant design
Attractive coloring with a great pearly tint
Many color options that range from professional to fun and cute, for both sexes
Writes very well with clean thin lines and no globs
High quality construction
Does not jam like many multi-pens
Many types of ink refills will fit (great if you are a fan of gel or other types
of inks)
Does not skip with high-speed writing
Eraser cap fits firmly and eraser refills are very fairly priced
Everyone wants to know where I got it :)
Cons:
Grip is not even a little bit soft
Learning to operate the pencil and extend the lead can be a task
Refilling can be a little bit tricky
Everyone keeps asking me if they can have it :(
