You don't even have to press the top of this pencil to extend the lead. It's a Shaker pencil, which means all you have to do is shake the pencil and the lead extends itself through an internal weight mechanism! To learn more about Shaker pencils, check out the JetPens.com TV video below.
The Dr. Grip is a best-selling line all over the US and Asia. But Americans seem satisfied with the boring standard pen bodies that are available year after year in US office stores. But every year, Japan comes out with new color and special edition lines of the Dr. Grip. Most lines debut and end in Japan before we in the US are even aware of the opportunity that such a thing could be possessed. But now, the door has been opened and JetPens has brought in the newest color lines of the Dr. Grip from Japan. The G-spec color series comes in pearly white body colors with seven grip color shades including: black, green, orange, red, soft blue and white. The pencils feature a layer of air between the rubber grip of the pencil and pencil body to allow a heat cooling effect, dispersing heat from fingers to keep hands cool even when you're under pressure. The pencil is a delight to the eyes and a delight to write with. It will be a colorful companion to the work or school place. Pencil and pens are available for the Dr. Grip line.

The first thing you'll...
The first thing you'll notice about the Dr. Grip G-Spec Deca is the comfortable grip. While it's no alpha-gel, it's definitely one of my preferred mechanical pencils, for this reason. The ergonomics of the pencil are very nice, with a small bulge right in the middle of the pencil, above the grip, providing ample grip. The body of the pencil rotates off to reveal a space where you can wrap small photos around, which is a handy feature for personalizing your pencil. To clarify, this is a 0.5mm mechanical pencil, and is very easy to write with, if you've got some nice lead.

I love this pencil, very nice grip and I like the plain white color along with the "red" grip. Although this grip is actually pink in reality. I am in love with the white color though, very arctic, it reminds me of the white MacBooks. The shaker characteristic is great!
