DescriptionSpecificationsFrequently Asked Questions (1)
The FriXion Ball Knock Biz features a sleek business look, with a matte metallic body and glossy silver accents. It contains Pilot's popular FriXion ink which you can erase cleanly using the rubber "eraser" at the top of the pen. To maintain the pen's polished appearance, the eraser is concealed with a cap that screws on practically seamlessly. Use this sophisticated pen for taking notes and scheduling, with the reassurance that you can easily correct any mistakes.

FriXion ink is a thermosensitive ink that can be erased by rubbing. Interestingly, erased ink reappears at temperatures below 14° F (-10° C). A freezer is cold enough to make this happen. Due to the thermosensitive nature of FriXion ink, we advise against using it for mailings, or leaving the written materials in hot cars or in environments that expose them to a lot of friction.

This pen contains black ink. Refills are available in additional colors.

Q: My Pilot FriXion pen is not writing well. It seems to be dried out or writing with clear ink. What should I do?
The FriXion ink formula is thermo-sensitive, which causes it to become invisible when heat from friction is applied. If the pen has been exposed to warm temperatures or direct sunlight, this may have caused the ink inside the pen to be "erased." Please try to store the pens in your freezer overnight, then remove them for an hour or two prior to writing to allow them to come back to room temperature. This can usually reactivate the coloring in the ink and allow the pens to write as normal.

This is my absolute favorite...

This is my absolute favorite pen for math classes! The 0.7 mm refills are very smooth, making it easy to write for a long time without hand fatigue, and the shade of blue in the ink is bold and easy to read. I prefer Frixion pens over pencils for math since they actually erase more cleanly as long as the paper isn't too thin/cheap.

The metal body of this pen was worth the extra cost to me since it adds just the right amount of weight for a good balance in the pen, as well as needing less pressure to write. The knock mechanism in the clip is fairly sturdy, and the eraser hidden under the top cap comes in handy when I don't have my block-style Frixion eraser around. Refills are easy to change out just by unscrewing the silver metal tip. Be careful when putting it back on though, the spring in the front can send the tip zinging across the room if not screwed in before you let go!

Really nice writing instrument, I'd definitely recommend this to fans of the Frixion line who like a heavier pen.
